1971 Chevrolet Chevelle malibu Description
I bought this survivor from the original family who specially ordered it new . I am the third owner . the 50 year-old step-son was the last owner and knew the life history of this sunday-driver . he wanted to keep the chevelle in his family but his kids were fighting who was next to have i, so he let it go . zero rust zero accidents . never driven in bad weather . always kept in a garage . the car is all original except the rally wheel, the original hubcaps go with car . chevelle starts right up and runs great . probably could benefit from a tune-up considering it still has the original spark-plug wires on it . the radiator was rebuilt less than 2 years ago . drives arrow-straight and is smooth down the road . the 4-speed transmission shifts flawless and the clutch works like it should with no funny noises . Power steering works great no leaks or funny noises . 350 4barrel carburetor engine is strong and also no funny noise, no smok, no leaks . still has the original single exhaust with a newer muffler . 12-bolt rear with 3:31 gears moves it along pretty good and again no funny noises or leaks . 0 rust 0 accidents the body is in great condition only having 2 panels re-spraye, the driver side rear quarter panel and the passenger door . = back in 1995 when the step-son inherited the car he had those re-sprayed to fill in some lacquer checking that was very common back then with factory lacquer paint . the car still retains its original paint . the original vinyl top is beautifull with no damage and 0 rust . all of the glass is the original factory-tinted that is excellent condition . the interior is all original but the driver seat has a 3-inch tear on a seam just from aging . the rest of the interior is in outstanding condition . dash-pad and headliner are amazin, factory round-tachometer and gauge dash is in excellent shape that is nice crisp and clean original condition . clock and radio have stopped working since I've owned the car . key-buzzer and cig-light still work . the build-sheet is under the rear seat . I have a Protect O Plate and owners manual that are in mint condition . the trunk is in great shape and still has the original paint and mat in place with no leaks or rust at all . the car does have a handful of dings that all happened while car was in garage . ding on rear bumpe, ding on trunkli, ding on right rear quarter pane, couple of small dings on very front edge of hoo, please look closely at pictures . scuff in paint on passenger door . the car does need a heater-core and alternator . overall this is an all matching numbers very clea, rust/accident free survivor with great options and colors that is fun to drive and gets a lot of attention and compliments everywhere you go . please ask any questions firs, thank you ..
