This gorgeous 1957 Chevrolet BelAir 2-door Sedan was built from the ground up with the idea of creating the "perfect" compromise between a factory original 1957 model car, with the conveniences, drive ability, and reliability of a newer car. That idea was achieved perfectly in this vehicle, and it has to be one of the finest of its type in existence.
This beauty was built from a very original, solid, complete, and dry local vehicle, adhering to a plan that was developed, supervised and/or actually executed by a very meticulous hobbyist/craftsman (who happens to be the current seller since the car was actually built for his own use and enjoyment). The attention to detail and perfection in this car is absolutely stunning!
The restoration work began with a complete disassembly of the vehicle and inspection of ALL original parts. The body was removed from the frame and mounted on a rotisserie for a thorough and complete restoration/refinish/replacement of every part on the car as required to insure that no detail, however small, was overlooked. It would be impossible to include all of the details of the restoration in this paragraph, so the highlights are listed on the bullet chart below. Suffice it to say that this car is a knock out from any perspective, be it the underside, the interior, the body and paint, the trunk, the engine compartment and any other area, as shown in the photos in this listing.

This list could go on and on, but it shows the detail and quality put into the restoration. Since completion of the project, the seller/owner has driven the car approximately 4900 trouble-free miles, mostly to car shows (where it has won many awards) and on short "Sunday drivesâ€. It never ceases to draw attention and compliments where ever it goes.
This is a very special car that exhibits the best in workmanship and quality, but interested (and qualified) buyers must realize that it will be sold "as-is, where-isâ€, with any transportation costs to be the buyers responsibility. Also, there will need to be a complete fund transfer agreement between the seller and buyer before the car is delivered and the title is provided to the buyer. The seller encourages questions and requests for further information, including personal or representative inspections. The seller has complete photo documentation of the entire restoration process, and that can be made available to serious buyers. The successful buyer of this car will be thrilled! I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime due to otherselling venues.
