2000 Chrysler Concorde - Reliable Transportation - New Bluetooth Radio - NO RES
2000 Chrysler Concorde Description
Up for auction is a 2000 Chrysler Concorde LXi. It is a one family (two registered owners over the years) vehicle that will provide its new owner with comfortable and reliable transportation. Please scroll through this listing to see all 48 photos that were taken this week and accurately depict the Concorde. As you can see the car is not perfect, but the good far outweighs the bad, here are the details:
The bad: As you can see the car has its fair share of nicks and scrapes, mostly around the corners, on the bumpers. Fortunately these are almost all paint blemishes and not dents or cuts in the plastic bumper covers, these could be repaired with a simple bumper re-spray should the new owner desire perfect bumpers. Chrysler had a problem with the rubber weather stripping around the doors, over the years it shrunk and caused some door sealing issues. This car has had all the rubber door seal removed and reinstalled correctly to fix this issue. Everything seals correctly, but I wanted to disclose this as it is a known issue that has been corrected. The passenger side front window works, but one of the lift plates is off resulting in the window going up slightly askew as it closes. It can easily be assisted by hand to close (which is what we have done) but that lift plate needs replacing. The lift plate part is very inexpensive (less than $20). The hood trim near the windshield is missing, this is just an aesthetic piece and does not effect the operation of the car. One of the door lock pull tabs is missing; the little plastic piece that you pull up to unlock the door, it is easily replaced and does noteffect the locking and unlocking of the door. I wont list every ding, as the pictures tell the story, but I will mention that there is a very slight ding to the left of the fuel door (tried to show in pictures) and the roof has a few slight dings as well. I only mention these as they are very hard to see in the pictures and I believe full disclosure is important for an online auction where you can’t physically see the car.
The Good: The Concorde has almost new Toyo tires with approximately 3,000 miles on them. The car’s brakes are also in excellent condition; the cars stops beautifully. The brakes were done about 15,000 miles ago, so not new, but they’re still working great. We just had the fuel injector o-ring seals replaced as this is another known issue with Concordes. Everything works as it should, the AC, heat, cruise control, mirrors, lights, horn, etc. It easily passes inspection every year. The car starts right up every time and is a pleasure to drive. The body is straight and has no rust. The paint is in very good condition. The interior is also very presentable. The leather seats are in very good condition and the headliner is almost perfect as the photos show. The trunk’s gas-charged lift supports are brand new. The factory spare tire, jack, etc. is all there as well. The LXi version is the more-expensive model and has many nice upgrades including an instrument cluster with revised vacuum fluorescent displays in round gauges, both front bucket seats have full electronic controls and ARE extremely comfortable on those long drives. The radio has recently been upgraded (just this year) with a professionally installed Pioneer DEH-X6700BS radio and two new door speakers to replace the aging factory system. This new system sounds amazing and works beautifully with modern Bluetooth phones. It has a microphone (see pictures) that not only makes crystal clear cellphone calls over Bluetooth, but integrates with Siri, or any other voice command system. I have an iPhone 6 that works great with the Pioneer. Google to learn more about the Pioneer, it has some terrific features that make the driving experience very enjoyable.
The Concorde has large doors, a spacious interior and roomy trunk. It is in very good condition for its age. Concorde's trunk is massive, as the photos show, and has a a small pass-through section to the trunk for skis or anything that can fit through the approx. 12” x 12” opening (you can see the pass-through door in the trunk picture). Under the hood the LXi comes with a 225-horsepower, 3.2-liter V-6 mated with a four-speed automatic transmission. Anti-lock brakes and traction control are standard on the LXi. In addition to its eye-catching styling, the Concorde is roomy, functional and enjoyable to drive. It feels more nimble than many big cars and has sprightly acceleration with the 3.2-liter V-6. The Concorde gets excellent gas mileage for a car its size; in high 20’s around town and in the low 30’s on the highway if you drive conservatively. This Concorde is an excellent daily driver for someone who needs reliable transportation. The only reason we’re selling it is that we’re getting another family vehicle that suites us better.
