These kitswere made by R & D Engineering out ofDavenport IAand Shell Valley out of Platte Center IA now sells this kit andall of the replacement parts that might be needed. My friend built and has owned this Daytona for around 18 years. He had made a improvement to the interior by lowering the seating area 4" so his head would clear the roof. Hehas also installed A/C !! The engine is a early 70's Ford 302 "roller" and has around 26,000.It's very "spirited if you know what I mean" and it sounds unreal ! It has the factoryreplica alum. "knock off wheels 10" rear 8 1/2" front that are on sale here onEBAY for over$3,000.00 ! Tires are new not long ago. Motor has the replica side exhaust and that's where the "Symphony" comes from LOL . It has a 6 speed T56 trans. and a steel scatter shield bell housing with a hydraulic clutch.It has 4 wheel disk brakes with a 9 " lockerposi rear gear of 3.25. This car is a running driving car but will be in need of some minor finish work and some detail finish work. This car has over $30,000.00 invested over the 18 year ownership and is priced very fairly for a running driving Daytona. To replacejust the kit is over $25,000.00 and then you have to supply the drive train. Oh and don't forget the A/C !! Bid toown.
