1963 Dodge Power Wagon Town Wagon 4x4 Description

Here is a 63 Dodge Town Wagon, W100 1/2 ton 4x4, 114 inch wheelbase. 164 hp 2 barrel Poly V8, 4 speed synchro manual trans, NP420, Spicer 60 axles with 4.10 gears. 8-lug hubs and wheels, but it is half-ton. That's the technical stuff for the chassis and drivetrain.
Body is real nice, southwest no rust! No accident damage, only some small dents or scratches. Not perfect, paint is all oxidized. The interior is in need of complete redoing. Only has the front bench seat, back is open. Doors are good shape, no rust out at the bottoms.
See all that stuff in the pictures inside the back? That is all the parts to put it back together. It was taken apart, I presume to clean stuff up since many parts have nice new paint. The engine and trans are in the chassis. Divorced transfer case, all three driveshafts, radiator, grille and several smaller trim and misc parts are inside the back area. I believe it is all there, just needs to be reassembled. It sat like this for many years before I got it. My plan was to get it back together and get it running and driving. But too many projects, so the Town Wagon is ready for a new owner.
The engine is not locked up, it turns with compression. It has been sealed up with the intake/carb, exhaust manifolds and pipes, spark plugs and distributor in place. Plus was covered under the hood, so I am pretty sure the engine can run, but of course I never got around to verifying that so no guarantees. May be good shape or may need rebuilding, but you have a complete engine to use as a base.
Of course the brakes and all the fuel system are not working and need to be gone through. Same with clutch hydraulics, parts are there but needs to be rebuilt. Wiring leaves a lot to be desired, best recommendation is to completely rewire for reliability and safety, but should be enough to get some circuits tested and working.
Body is missing one piece of glass, at the driver's rear window, the one that slides at the rear. Just gone, but it's flat glass so should be easy enough to get a replacement made up. Otherwise no real body issues, all sheetmetal is there and mostly straight. Has some real heavy custom(?) bumpers, I think you could push a house over and not damage them. Three tires are better shape and hold air, the right front is real bad, but surprisingly will air up thanks to tube inside and enough to roll onto a trailer before going flat in a day or so. None of the tires should be considered as road worthy.
Dash gauges have no clue if they work or not. Seat is only good for the base, needs to be completely rebuilt and recovered.
So take this project off my hands as your new winter project. How many of these Town Wagons do you see? Especially one that is not rusted to hell. Lot of potential with this one. Not the prettiest vehicle right now, but some cleaning and assembly will make it look a lot better. Sold as-is, obviously no warranty or any guarantees - what you see is what you get. No Reserve, you bid and you can win!
Feel free to ask any questions, I tried to describe it with sufficient detail. Clear title, ready for new owner. Repeat it is not running, must be trailered or hauled.
