1996 Dodge Ram 3500 Description

1996 Dodge Ram 3500 5speed dually with 12' flatbed Cummins 12 valve.

Has 453,458miles.

She gets around 13mpg on the highway. I have put about 10,000 miles on her this year, I am getting an apartment and letting her go.

Good power and no blowby whenpushedhard.

I have toured Arkansas and parts of Missouri in this rig. She pulls hard up the hills and has plenty of engine braking going down the other side.

I towed a car 500 miles on a U-Haul trailer no problem this past spring.

I mounted a 5,000 watt coleman generator underneath the flatbed it will run everything in the camper no problem.

The AC and refrigerator can be plugged into a regular 20amp home socket no problem. The camper has a 30 Amp style plug but a 30 to 20 amp adapter can be utilized to plug into a home outlet.

If you want a rig that can haul and camp, this is for you. Tow your toys to the woods and camp as long as you want.

Truck runs and drives well with a few exceptions, third gear has to be double clutched as the syncro is worn out.

Iam including a nv4500 master transmission rebuid kit for the transmission which includes all new syncros and a new updated transmission main shaft, new fully splined 5th gear and updated 5th gear locknut. Includes many bearing, gaskets and seals, worth $350.

There's is a very slow coolent head gasket leak, externally,NO signs of coolent in the oil at all.

I am including a full head gasket kit with the truck worth $100.

The brakes work fine, tires on the front have most of their tread. Rear duals have 10,000-15,000 miles left on the tires.

Includes a spare underneath the flatbedthat has a little tread left. Also include (2) Extra tires with half tread left.

A/c needs a new hard line as the low pressure AC port valve stuck open. Heater works fine.

Removed stereo as the volume knob didn't work, needs a new stereo deck.

Truck dash is all busted but has a carpet cover thatacts as the dash.

The truck camper is a heavy duty high mileage machine that needs some work however it is fully capable of driving across theUSA today. However asa disclaimer I hold no responsibility for break downs or required maintenance after the saleis completed.

In the spring of 2016 I completed the following:
Mounted a Coleman 5,000 watt generator under the flatbed.
New front and rear shocks.
New steering column connecting rod. New front brake pads.
New driver front wheel hub bearing. Sale includes and extra front wheel hub worth$150.
Changed diffential oil.
Rattle can paint job.
New exhaust manifold gaskets installed.
New upper coolant,lower coolant,and heater hoses installed with full system coolent flush and new coolant.
New headlights.

Passenger side front wheel camber offset 2 degreesinstalled to correct camber, and alignment was also performed at that time. (Spring 2016)
Mounted on the flatbed is the following:

(1) buyers Underside tool box. (2) Home built wood boxes underbed behind rear tires for oil/ fluids and sewer hose storage.

(1) Under Flat bed 5,000 Watt Coleman Generator with 30Amp adapter plug the camper in and start her up, runs everything on the camper. (some maintenance items needed on thegenerator).

Has new deep cell 12volt marine battery installed this spring 2016.

Camper Has repair work done to all 4 corners seen in photos.

Condition: Camper is water tight, there was pervious water damage on corners however it was fixed spring 2016.bubbling of the FRP in the back is due to the tail light wires running to the camper taillights. I ripped out all the water damaged wood and replaced it with 3/4" plywood, the taillight wiring runs between the FRP and the 3/4" plywood in the rear. I recently Used roofing heavy duty sealant roof tape by Dura Seal (Home Depot) $28.00 a roll to seal the front seams as they were showing signs of potential leaking.
