2005 Dodge Sprinter Description

Up for auction is my 2005 Dodge Sprinter, 140" wheel base, tall roof, with a custom camper build.I bought this van a little less than two years ago from a Mercedes dealership & have been building it out as a camper van since. I would rate this Van excellent mechanically (extensive recent work) and good cosmetically. See details & pictures below. I'm the third owner. I have the Carfax from my purchase showing all maintenance from 65,000 miles on. It's four pages long. The van was always maintained at dealerships & other shops that recorded work done.Hard to let it go, but need to consolidate vehicles. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to request more pictures. I will respond to all questions as promptly as possible, however, please note my work often takes me out of cell range during the day.
THE VAN:Power windows & door locks, cruise control. With the exception of the radio ('sound 30' error when powered on), everything is 100% functional & working as new.Approximately 193,500 miles (subject to change slightly with test drives, etc) with extensive recent work and maintenance records going back to 65,000 miles. Here's a summary of work preformed in the last 10K miles.186,882 - Maintenance inspection by Mercedes Benz of Billings, oil change, top off fluids187,007 - New Transmission lines/fluid, cooling system check, new Radiator187,554 - New Power Steering rack & box, Alignment187,589 - New Mass Air Flow Sensor, new Glow Plugs, new Injectors, new Cylinder Head CoverAll of above was preformed by Mercedes Benz of Billings before my purchase. Below is my maintenance over the last two years.188,151 - New Glow Plug Relay188,423 - Transmission service190,402 - New windshield with rust mitigation work192,500 - New front tires (rears are 80%+)193,488 - Oil & filter changeAgain, I have all the receipts for this work. The body is in good shape. There are a few scrapes & scratches, as one would expect from an eleven year old vehicle. A few small rust spots, but nothing significant. I've included a few pictures of what I deem to be the most significant. More pictures are available.Interior is in good shape. Seats show minor wear, but no rips. Some staining on drivers side seat.
THE CAMPER CONVERSION:My intention with this conversion was to keep it as functional, simple, & visually appealing as possible. It stores two bikes and a ton of gear inside, under the bed. There is no bathroom, however there is plenty of room in "The Garage" for the addition of a cassette toilet.-General: Sound dampening via Grace Ice & Water self adhesive barrier. Insulation is Reflectix adhered with 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. Construction is welded 1" tubing & 3/8" Birch ply for cabinets. Paneling is 1/4" Birch veneer. All wood is stained Provincial Pine with three coats of poly. Maxx Air 12V fan installed over the bed. Rear windows are CR Lawrence. Slider door window is Motion Windows brand, the lower portion has a screened slider. Heat source is a portable, propane powered, Mr. Heater with built in CO shutoff. Passenger side seat swivel.-Kitchen: I designed it to be modular & easily moved to function outdoors. The water system is two parts; a 5 gallon cubie located to be easily refilled & fill water bottles, as well as Helio 2.9 gallon, free standing, foot pump solar shower with 8' hose & spray nozzle. Hose & nozzle are routed up through back of counter & easily removed for outdoor use. The "sink" consists of two wash tubs stowed under the counter & easily used inside or out. Counter top is made of Skatelite, a highly durable, food grade material used to make both cutting boards & skate ramps. Cleans very easily & you can cut directly on it. The brand new, unused, two burner stove is also easily disconnected & used outdoors. The frig is a 3.5cuft, 120V Magic Chef. Two overhead cabinets.-Electrical: Brand new Duracell 12V, 100ah, AGM, deep cycle battery coupled with a 1000W Zamp pure sine inverter. Both van & cabin batteries are fused with inline 80amp ANL fuses. System is connected to a solenoid which isolates cabin battery from van battery while vehicle is not running and allows charging of cabin battery while van is running.-The Bed: Oriented across the van. It's a queen mattress cut down a few inches, dimensions are 60"W X 70"L. I'm 6'0" & sleep slightly diagonal with no problems. Mattress is 2" of general foam topped with a 3" memory foam mattress. Height from top of mattress to ceiling is 27" on the edges & 28" in the middle.-The "Garage": Located under the bed & accessed from the rear doors. Fits two bikes on fork mounts. These mounts are attached to a flush mounted aluminum S track allowing their type & locations to be changed. There is a custom built area that accommodates a camp table (included) and allows access even while items are stacked on top of it. Tie downs for camp chairs above this. Inside of doors have shoe racks for storage of small items. Plenty of extra room for other items & equipment. Height from floor to bottom of bed frame is 37.5", to bottom of bed deck is 38.5".-Other stuff: Inside under-bed storage includes to shelves 28"W X 18"D X 9"H & one @ 28"W X 18"D X 18"H. The bench on the passenger side (also serves as step up to the bed) is padded & upholstered. Measurements are 42"L X 19"D X 19"H. There is a drawer underneath which measures 24.5"W X 17"D X 14"H.This is a turn-key conversion. You can show up, hop in & need nothing but your personal gear & food. I have represented this vehicle as honestly as possible. That said, it is a used vehicle with no warranty. I am happy to answer all questions & schedule showings if you choose. Delivery within a reasonable distance is negotiable. Please see Payment Details for specific instructions.
