2006 Dodge Sprinter Description

I'm selling my 2006 Freightliner Sprinter 3500 158 WB high roof. Location is Austin, TX
- 179 k miles- NEW turbo (less than 100 miles on it)- NEW muffler & catalytic converter (less than 100 miles on it)- NEW glowplugs (less than 100 miles)- 215/85R16 tires on 16 inch wheels (about 7k miles)- rebuilt ABS pump (6k miles ago)
while I've owned the van I replaced:- vacuum hose assembly- all filters- AC condenser, compressor and expansion valve (AC blows cold)- fan clutch- intake air sensor- coolant level sensor
in his life the van had already replaced:- the original turbo (first one failed at 80k miles)- battery, three times in total- master brake cylinder- water pump- radiator- glow plugs- fuel injectors- brake pads & rotors- transmission speed sensors
last engine oil change was 100 miles ago. rear diff oil was changes 6k miles ago. transmission oil & filter was replaced 16k miles ago. The engine runs strong. Did a 6k road trip this summer with no issues whatsoever. There's no rust on the body or the frame. There are a couple of dings and scratches but nothing serious.
Electrical:- UltraGauge do monitor speed and mileage (with the larger tires, the speedo is off by 18%). Also boost, coolant temp and engine load)- 220 AH deep cycle batteries (2x 6V golf cart)- 3x 100W Renogy Solar panels on the roof- Renogy solar charger- The house battery is charged only by solar which is plenty if you don't plan to camp in the shade for longer than three days- Xantrex 600W true sine wave inverter with remote on/off switch inside next to the electrical outlet- Shore power connection and two electrical outlets inside- 12V breaker box- Coleman Mach 8 rooftop AC unit with 13,500 BTU. runs on shore power only. Noisy outside but great to cool down the van- Maxxair MaxxFan 4500K fan with remote control. Open the sliding windows in the back and with the fan you get a nice breeze.- The van comes with a entertainment system based on a raspberry Pi computer, a projector and a movie screen (overkill, I know but very nice from time to time)- Bluetooth enabled stereo system that can play music (& movies) from SD card. Remote inluded.- Edgestar FP630 fridge. runs on 12V or when plugged into shore power on 110V.
I did the camper interior for three people. In the back is a queen size bed frame and the third person can sleep in the front. The storage bench and the fridge turn into a bed. Plenty of storage with the overhead cabinets and the full space under the bed is accessible from the front and the back. Also in the back are two heavy duty storage drawers. There's no mattress in the van! Any queen size mattress will fit the bed frame.
The van is insulated with denim insulation on the sides and polystyrene foam on top to keep the van cool in summer and warm in winter. I've also added sound deadening to the walls.
For cold days & nights I installed an Eperspacher Airtronic D2 diesel heater (pulls fuel from the fuel tank). with digital remote temperature control.
The sprinter used to be a cargo van. I've put in the two side windows and the two sliding windows (with bug screen) in the back.
Because of the larger tires the spare wheel doesn't fit in the factory location. I've installed a spare wheel carrier on the back door (only downside is that you can't swing the door the full 270 degrees anymore.
For shade I added a Fiamma F45S awning. 13'1" wide. The legs either attach to the side of the van or can be placed on the ground.
I have more photos but eBay doesn't allow me to post the link in the description. please send me a message and I will send you the URL to the photo gallery.
Included in the sale is a box of spare parts that I always had in the van to be prepared: some sensors, water pump, serp belt, a complete set of front and rear wheel bearings and more.
Asking Price is $24,000. Keep in mind that the two most expensive items next to the engine, the turbo and muffler, are brand new.
PM me if interested. Happy to answer any questions.
