On May 26th 1996 the 80th Indy 500 was won by Buddy Lazier. It was an exciting finish that was decided within the last ten laps. The pace vehicle for this race was a Limited Edition 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 AKA the "Viper Ram" since it was the Pace truck that accompanied the very first Dodge Viper GTS around the track at the 1996 Indy 500!There was only 2802 of these made in 1996. This truck features the 5.9L V8 engine with an automatic transmission that runs and drives very well. The rear end is a 4.10 posi-traction.. The options on this truck include power mirrors, power locks, power windows, power seats, cruise control, cold A/C and an AM/FM/CD Infinity Stereo.

This truck is a one owner vehicle. The previous owner had a frame on restoration done with all nos parts which included fresh paint, striping, decals and an all new interior. We have every shred of documentation for this truck since it was purchased new. This truck has won shows and has the plaque with it. We have all the photos of the restoration and all the receipts since purchased.
