1997 Dodge ViperGTS
49,xxx miles (still drive it on occasion)
5,xxx miles on the rebuilt stroker engine (540CI) high-compression NA fully forged internals
5,xxx miles on alloy flywheel
2,xxx miles on Hoosier DOT slicks, all-season tire up front on stock 17" wheels
Engine built by Standard Machine in Phoenix, heads also ported by Standard Machine. The heads were machined for small block chevy roller rockers, the cam is a .58x lift on both int/ext, with a 114 LSA (ideal for boost, or nitrous). The engine is still running the UNPORTED stock intake manifold and STOCK throttle bodies, which is the bottleneck in the system.
The car was dyno tuned by Todd at AC Performance in California with a SCT handheld tuner. made 554rwhp, and 651rwtq. This was on e85. The fuel pump is e85 compatible, also installed by AC Performance, as well as AC Performance catch can, also installed by his shop.
T-56occasionally pops out of 3rd at low speed.
B&M ripper shifter
later generation shift knob (do not have original)
Aftermarket stereo, but the stock head unit will go with the car
lowered (eibach springs, and JonB- Viper Parts spring perch install)
Custom exhaust header built by FAT in Phoenix, with ceramic coating
Window regulators will need to be replaced.
