1999 Dodge Dakota Description

This truck is in great shape for its age. Only has 82k miles! I have owned it since 2003 and only drive it on weekends as my second method of transportation. I need to explain the "Salvage Title". I purchased this from the original owner who worked for the road dept. While on the job and parked the truck was towed away without his knowledge. He reported it stolen and his insurance company paid him. Later he was notified that the truck was towed to a salvage yard and waiting for someone to claim. He claimed it back and paid his insurance co back the money they paid him. Because the insurance claim was made the truck was given a Salvage Title even though it was never totaled. When I purchased the truck NJ DMV gave me a "salvage title". The truck was in a minor accident by the original owner (reported on CARFAX) with no structural or frame damage, just some minor damage to front end. I have never had any issues with the truck and have had it inspected by a structural mechanic before I purchased it in 2003. I would be happy to explain in more detail if any questions regarding this. The truck, as with most Dakota's of this age, has what I call sunburnt paint. The paint/clearcoat on some of the flat surfaces has peeled off. There is no visible rust on the body. I had a new transmission installed a few years back and a new heater core replaced. Other then that just the usual maintenance. I changed the oil every 3k miles and tires are in great shape.
