2006 Dodge Sprinter 2500, 158" Wheelbase Description

Well, it's a sad day indeed. Here is my beloved 2006 Sprinter (my first), set up for 12 passengers plus the driver. We bought it in May 2011 at 183,000 miles. When I needed to replace the head gasket a few months ago, it turned out the fuel injectors had to be removed to get to it. The injectors had fused to the engine block, and they broke two of them trying to get them out. That meant the $2,200 job would have turned into nearly $6,000, and I simply couldn't justify that expenseconsideringher limitedrevenue potentialas abackup vehicle. Our other Sprinters are doing an excellent job of handling our business now.
Aside from the incredible fuel economy (22+ mpg), I loved this van for its unbelievably slick responsiveness and handling. I don't know if it's common for all the pre-2008 Sprinters, but the difference is substantial. She wasdefinitely a driver's van. BUT the new ones (2008+) are better suited for profits, becausethey'redesigned to hold more passengers, and morefor the passenger's comfort. It's like the difference between a Taxi and a Limo. It's more fun to drive a Taxi, but a Limogenerates higher revenues and (theoretically and hopefully) profits.
Of course, with the engine in piecesthat's all meaningless now. Although you could drop in another engine, most likely youwould want it for parts, and there are plenty. The seats are worth something too, and along with the four rows that are installedI've included two extra matching rear bench seats which we've loaded in the van since these pics were taken. The seats all go with the van, I don't want any leftovers. They're not compatible with the new body style.
Oh, I just remembered there's an auxiliary battery installed under the driver's seat, but I can't find that paperwork, and I don't remember exactly what it's connected to. Something important, but not critical. I'll update that if I can find it.
I'll attach some of theinvoices of the major work we've had done over the past few years including the transmission, differential, drive shaft, alternator, radiator and more. As a backup, I was more interested Ikeeping her running well, even though I had hoped to have her painted up and looking fresh this summer. But nowI've decided to restore our old Volvo 240 Turbo instead. It's stick shift and has a sunroof, I do love a good fun runner...
The PowerAcoustik PD-710B detachable stereo goes along with her, but there are no rear speakers.
I really do apologize, but there is a bit of a reserve. There was some debate over that, but we finally agreed that we're not giving her away, sorry!
Good Luck, and THANKS!
PS: I could not attach the repair invoices I wanted to, so I'm listing a few of them here. I can send copies if anyone wants them. Repairs were done at Park Place Automotive inAkron, PA.

I just spotted a minor accident report when I previewed this listing. The date is over 2 years before I bought it. I have no idea what it's about, and I never would have known if I hadn't seen it here.
One more thing: the hood release cable has snapped, and we didn't see the point to have it properly fixed under these circumstances. A neighbor rigged a temporary puller to the bumper, and it works.
Of course this sale is "as is" and "final", etc etc. And we do love PayPal, and hope you do too.
So there we are. Wish us luck, and the same to you! Thanks Again, Have a Good Week!
