1993 Ferrari Mondial Description
I am offering my 1993 Ferrari Mondial T Valeo for sale. It is 1 of 18 ever produced by Ferrari. The most notable Valeo equipped car is the Agnelli Ferrari F40, 1 of 1.
The Valeo system replaces the standard clutch pedal in a conventional 3-pedal car and is operated by microprocessors. When the driver touches the shift lever, the microprocessors engage the clutch in 100ms, allowing the driver to shift gears faster than any human. This system is the forerunner to the F1 paddle shift system that were offered in 355's later. The Valeo is much more reliable and more fun to drive as it offers the fun and excitement of the Ferrari gated shift lever without having to deal with a stiff clutch pedal. The Valeo was only available on late 1992 and 1993 models (last year of production for the Mondial).
I have owned this car for 4.5 years and it has been a pleasure to drive. I have owned and enjoyed this car with no expense spared towards maintenance. Last spring the car received an engine out major service, rebuilt shock actuators, CV boots, steering rack boots, and a full interior/exterior detail. As any Ferrari owner knows, these cars are only as good as their maintenance. Rest assured, I am not a car dealer looking for a quick flip and deferred maintenance.
Additional notes and items that have been addressed:
- Tubi exhaust system
- Clutch replaced at 19xxx miles
- Coils replaced at 19xxx miles
- Rebuilt Valeo Ecu
The Mondial is currently in Colorado in the care of a well known, reputable Ferrari technician. The Valeo Ecu had a leaking capacitor and was subsequently rebuilt by their master technician. It is said to run perfectly and a true pleasure to drive. A PPI can be arranged with the shop and potential new owner.
Lastly, I have attached an image of the last known Valeo to sell on eBay, almost 2 years ago. That car had 10k more miles and it went quickly!
