Up for auction is a 1971 Ford Ranger XLT Short Wheel Base Truck . We purchased the truck a few years ago with the intentions of restoring it but due to so many customer vehicles coming through our shop we have not had time to work on any of our own projects so we have decided to clear some room.This 1971 F-100 is a two owner truck (according to previous owner) with approx. 80,000 actual miles (so we were told and it appears to be accurate judging by the condition) . The truck has a 302 V8 engine with 3 speed manual transmission. You will not find another truck this solid for this kind of money. The only rust I have found anywhere on the truck is in the hood and I have a repairable hood that will go with the truck for free is the buyer would like it . The inside of the bed is straight and rust free which is extremely rare for these old trucks. The truck has had 1 repaint and it is ofVERY low quality. The pictures make the paint look better than it actually is.We try to be as honest as possible with every vehicle we sell so please ask questions. The exterior trim on the truck is all original alsoand it is dull and pitted in places as you would expect with an original vehicle. All the weather strip is original and aged also. We did have the seat recovered and new carpet installed. The dash has a Black layover Cap. The factory padded dash is cracked underneath. The cap looks very nice though. The doors shut on the truck very easily and everything works as it should. The truck runs and drives great!!Although it is an old truck I wouldn’t be scared to hop in it and take off just about anywhere. It is very comfortable to drive and handles extremely well. The engine runs strong and the clutch feels very good also. This truck would make an extremely EASY restoration or Father/Son project.
