This car was sold to me as a Mach 1, but there is some controversy over whether it is truly a Mach 1 because of the door plate codes. However, if one considers that the features of this vehicle far exceed the original Mach 1 it would then be reasonable to, at least, view it and enjoy it as a Mach 1. You make the call. Those who claim to be Mustang experts, exercising their ego, desire to fuss over code discrepancies and uncertainties concerning mass production procedures over 40 years ago. An original Mach 1 was just that because of certain physical features built into it, not simply because of a code stamped on a door plate. Therefore, I suggest that what counts is what you actually get for your dollars in this car, not what a purist desires for utopian authenticity.

Moreover, keep in mind that this is a great looking, mechanically sound, & very FAST driving/racing machine, not a show piece. You will be proud of the good paint job, but it is not display car perfect.
