1951 Ford F-3 Marmon Herrington:
Here is a rare piece of Americana: a Ford F-3 pickup with the famous Marmon Herrington conversion. If you've found this auction, you likely know the MH story. This particular truck is indeed a genuine, MH truck with matching VIN plate and MH plate.
Beyond that, as you can plainly see, it is need of a total restoration. Nonetheless, the MH components are all present and accounted for and the compensating lever shifts freely. The axles look to be in good shape, with no pitting (just like the chassis itself).
As downright ugly as the cab appears, rust is confined to the floor only. That is, the cab is definitely worth saving as the doors and fenders are solid. Of course there are dings, dents, scratches etc. all over but then again it is a 60+ year old work truck.
All Marmon-Herrington badges and plaques are present.
I'm selling this as I simply do not have the time to get to this project in this lifetime and I'd love to see it go to a great home.
I do not have a title, but will provide a bill of sale if that will help.
It is currently located in dry storage in Fredericksburg, TX but if it will help I can getit to San Antonio.
Please feel free to ask any questions pertaining to thetruck itself.
