1998 Ford E-Series Van Description

I am selling my 15 passenger Ford E-350 7.3 Power Stroke Diesel with only 85,000 miles and a clear title. This would be a great work or project van. Private sale, NO TAX or FEES! This is a 1998 that I purchased in 2011. I used it for my business and would drive it a few hundred miles a month, all highway miles. It was serviced regularly. It has always been a great reliable van. Runs and drives great. It has newer brakes/rotors and water pump replaced recently. I am selling it as I no longer have a need for the van.

Interior

The interior is in good shape for its age. It has a power cloth driver’s seat and all durable vinyl benches in the back. Power locks,power windows,had power mirrors but they have never worked since I have owned the van. There is some cracking on the vinyl by the cup holders (picture). There is some staining on the floor carpets (see in pictures). Missing the armrest for the driver’s seat, OEM door handle, and the knob for the head lights but lights are still operational. It has an in dash touchscreen Pioneer DVD/CD player with headphone jack for iPhone. The van also has a Viper alarm that cuts ignition. It used to unlock the doors but that function is no longer working. The ignition key only unlocks the passenger door… ladies love it, makes you look like a gentleman. The heater works great but it needs a new AC condenser and is currently not blowing cold air.

Exterior

The van is silver and the previous owner painted the bottom with a pink/purple design so I did a vinyl wrap over top of it. The silver paint is in good shape but a little faded. The van has been in Nevada and Arizona for the last 6 years so rust is minimal. It has a few dents and dings I tried to point them out in the pictures. There is some paint chipping on front of the van, a crack in the windshield and a few rock chips from regular highway use. Has aftermarket tail lights and turning signals but is missing the driver’s side signal.

Mechanical

The van has always run strong, drives great and has never left me stranded. The cruise control no longer works. The transmission was rebuilt about 10k miles ago and shifts great. The brakes/rotors were all replaced about 5k miles ago ($1200). It has a new water pump. The van has always started first shot but lately in extreme cold or hot takes a few tries. The Ford dealership says it could use new glow plugs and harness but Ford no longer makes the part. You can buy the plugs and harness for $150 on amazon but because they are not a genuine Ford product the dealership wouldn’t put them in so I did not do it. The van is totally road worthy and I would feel very comfortable driving it across the country.
