1972 Ford Other Description

Up for sale is a nice '72 Ford Maverick! She gets a lot of attention! Originally a Colorado car, even has the original dealer sticker on the rear valance. It's been my daily driver project for almost 4 years now. Now its time for someone to finish her. She was originally a 6 cylinder grandma owned car, then the guy I bought her from installed a 302 v8 in her. After I bought her I installed a mild built 289. She runs great! Drives good. She still has drum brakes, I never got around to installing disc brakes. Solid car except the lower rear quarters has little rust. Has some dings and little dents. But overall not bad for a 40+ year old car with the original paint. Its a NON-Grabber with a real grabber hood, I was in the middle of trying to turn her into a Grabber clone. Interior is decent for its age. The front seats are from a late 80's / early 90's Mazda. If you keep those they need reupholstered to match the car. The original back seat needs reupholstered and could use new carpet. Has a Lokar 8" floor shifter hooked to a TCI Sizzler automatic transmission. Has a cool old school 8,000rpm dash tach, which works good. Dash pad is cracked. I installed white face gauges. Has a Grant wood steering wheel to give it an old school look. Has aluminum door panels, but also have the original ones. Has vintage slotted mags. Rear tires are good. Front tires are okay. Has a Champion aluminum 3 row radiator with a 3000cfm electric fan.
Engine specs: 1966 a code 289, bored .30 or .40 over, speed pro forged pistons w/ molly rings, stock rods with ARP bolts resized, stock crank turned.010, COMP CAMS double roller timing chain, Crane Came blue racer cam, clevite bearings, Crane Cams 1:6 aluminum roller rockers, lunati springs & retainers, Ford motorsport windage tray, vintage Holley street dominator aluminum intake manifold, Barry Grant road demon 625cfm carburetor, summit racing long tube headers, accel 8.8mm plug wires, Crane Cams electronic ignition, and old school black finned Mickey Thompson valve covers with spacers.
Transmission specs: C4, TCI Sizzler, TCI 2100rpm stall and lokar floor shifter.
Rearend: Ford 8, open diff, 3.25 gears.
Comes with extra parts, including the complete 302 that was previously in the car. It ran great when removed, just needed new gaskets & seals.
