Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1998 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 with the desirable long bed. The F-Series trucks are the best selling family of trucks for a good reason. Their reputation for rugged construction and reliability are no secret. I would rate the exterior of this F-150 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in green and gray two tone with matching gray cloth interior. The green finish shines nicely for its age and looks smooth. As with any older truck, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. The bed as a soft cover (which is very nice) anda liner, too. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Rust on the body of this truck is below average for its age. There is some body rust visible on the cab corners, door bottoms and one spot on the bed...but nothing bad. The frame shows normal surface rust as you'd expect to find on an older truck, but I didn't see anything worth mentioning. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this truck looks inside and out.

I would rate the interior of this F-150 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show a few marks from age but are acceptable throughout the cab. The cloth seats are clean and comfortable, too. There is ample storage behind the rear seats for tools and extra gear. The headliner is missing, which is normal at this age. Most likely, the previous owner pulled the cloth down because it was loose and sagging, as most get. The dash is clean. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The drivers window is pretty slow, though. The radio works properly and sounds good. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The air conditioner will need charged or serviced for next season as it does not blow cold air.

Mechanically, this F-150 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. However, please keep in mind that it is an older truck and it won't be new. The engine makes good power and feels strong. She keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There were no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. This truck is a fresh NEW FORD TRADE from Hoffman Ford and has a brand new PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of September, 2017. If you've been looking for a clean 4x4 that hasn't been all used up, this F-150 deserves your serious consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
