2002 Ford F-150 Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2002 Ford F-150 7700. This is a rather uncommon truck. The F-150 7700 is, for all intents and purposes an F250 LD. It has the heavier frame, heavier running gear, bigger axles, bigger brakes, better transmission, bigger radiator, etc. I would rate the exterior of this F-150 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in gray with a matching top and gray cloth interior. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific F-150, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about. The only rust I could find was a small spot on the LR corner of the bed and a little spot on the left cab corner...which is remarkable for an F-Series of this age and mileage. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. This F-150 has had the same owner since it had just 33k miles. Pride in ownership shows throughout this heavy duty truck.

I would rate the interior of this truck to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The person who ordered this truck new chose an interesting group of options. The trim level of this truck is an "XL", which means it is going to be pretty basic. You can see this in the vinyl floor, manual windows, manual mirrors, etc. What is interesting is that this truck has the nice cloth seats, not the base seats. Also this truck has the overhead compass/temp gauge, air conditioning and the double din stereo. This had to be a specially ordered truck. Everything inside the cab is remarkably clean. The floor shows new. Another interesting note is that a full set of carpet floor mats are included. The stereo is original and sounds great. There is an aftermarket CD changer below the rear seat (don't know if it works). The climate control system works as it should. The heater works prefectly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. Access to the rear seats is very easy, thanks to the rear doors on each side. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this rare F-150.

Mechanically, this F-150 7700 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.4L Triton V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent for an older truck. The suspension feels tight as a drum. Steering and braking feel good, too. The big V8 feels strong and makes plenty of power. Once in a great while, I feel a little hesitation but there have been no warning lights on (other than an ABS light). I hooked my scan tool up (just to make sure nobody tampered with the check engine light) and there were no current codes and no pending codes. It may set a code at some point but it hasn't yet. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The heavy duty automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This is an exceptionally clean example of a very desirable truck. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
