2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Description

For sale is my 2007 Shelby GT500. I am the second owner and the car is in great shape both inside and out. The paint is in great shape for its age and the interior still smells new. The car has many modifications with the majority done by me with the exception of the clutch which was done by the previous owner. This car was affected by that big Takata airbag recall and has had both airbags replaced by the dealer with service records. It also comes with a transferable extended warranty purchased through Ford that you can use at any Ford dealership. The warranty is good through September of 2019 or 48,000 miles. Obviously the warranty will not cover any of the aftermarket parts. The majority of the modifications are suspension related with the engine being completely stock and the transmission having only the aftermarket clutch.

It is a red stripe appearance package which apparently makes it special. It's got a certificate from Ford saying it's number 25 out of 200 and some odd number that they made with the red stripes. So basically what you got in the red stripe package was; red stripes (obviously), red cobra badges, red shelby lettering, red leather interior, and red cobras on the floor mats. Ford thought that was all worth about 2 grand when it was new for some reason.

Anyway, on to the modifications.

- Aftermarket Clutch. Listed this one first because I wasn't responsible for it so I don't know much about it. Service tech at the dealer said it was most likely a Mcleod RXT twin disk. I got a brief look at it but honestly I'm not an expert on every single gt500 clutch so I'm going with what he told me. He might have been right, might have been wrong. It could be an ACT or a RAM or something. It works just fine and is on the heavier side.
