1996 Ford Contour CNG Description

For sale by owner. Former dealer in CNG vehicles. This was my personal back up vehicle for the last 4 years 133K original miles. Still available for Oklahoma and Utah tax credit and California HOV certification. Tax credit would be over $1500 making car almost free. Will provide verification letter with purchase for tax credit upon sale. I am upsizing to a newer car and no longer need this vehicle. It runs good on both gas and CNG. Just had new tires, new battery in last 12 months, basic maintenance performed timely as well and just had oil changed.
I'm a non-smoker. 2nd private owner. I mostly babied this car. The gentleman I bought it from was elderly and didn't drive it hard either.
Vehicle does have some minor dings, the hood needs to be waxed, has oxidation, also needs a tune up. Particularly it has a vacuum leak that is most likely a plastic fitting or hose that should be easy to locate. I just haven't had the time myself. So, that is why I am selling this vehicle so cheap. The vacuum leak makes it sluggish at times especially on CNG. It will perform 100% once taken care of. This is a bifuel vehicle both gas/CNG 3-4 gallon CNG tank and 10 gallon gas tank. Typically I get about 25 mpg on both CNG and gas. CNG is currently .91 cents in Oklahoma per gallon. So, get 50 mpg equivalence. CNG nozzle is a 3000 psi, but can easily be changed to fit a 3600 psi filling pump. Looking for $1699 or best offer.
