1968 Ford Mustang GT/CS California Special Description

Restored California Special GT/CS. Original engine. A/T, P/S, P/B, A/C. I have a Marti Report to verify authenticity, and the car is registered on the California Special website.I started this restoration for a friend, who unfortunately had to cancel out due to health issues. So I continued, doing it as I would for myself. I've restored Mustangs as a hobby for 40+/- years, not for profit- but as a hobby. The list of new parts is too extensive to try and list here, but if truly interested send me your e-mail and I'll send you a copy. (I also have all the receipts, which will go with the car.)The car was stripped to bare metal and then painted Highland Green (BC/CC) by a professional paint/body shop after replacing the L. front fender (Ford tooling) and driver's door due to Bondo repairs. There is no rust on this car. I even treated internal surfaces with rust prohibitive OSPHO. The radiator core is new, the original 289 engine is overhauled with upgraded Edelbrock 4BBL intake manifold& 500CFM electric choke carb, and new exhaust manifolds, plus Pertronix solid state ignition. I also installed a mild cam. The engine runs Great, with about 500 miles since overhaul. New wiring harnesses from the dash forward, and aft to the Shelby style tail lights. The interior was completely redone using the Deluxe dash panels, door panels, and seatbelts. It has both consoles (upper & lower), and I was able to locate & install headrests (a rare option). The car is highly detailed, as I use MCA judging rules as a guideline. There is a light scratch on the passenger window, light enough that it won't show in a photo. The successful bidder must submit a $1,000.00 non refundable down payment via PayPal within 24 hours of the bid closing, with the balance due within 7 days (EFT, Certified check, or cash). Shipping and/or pick up is buyer's responsibility.
