1976 Ford F-250 Highboy Parts Truck, No Reserve!
1976 Ford F-250 Description
I've owned this 76 F250 Highboy for about 18 months. I bought it for the sole purpose of using the bed and disc brake front axle in the restoration of my Dad's 73 Highboy. I also used the tailgate, right front fender, both bumpers, grill, headlight surrounds, brake master cylinder, power steering unit, and one door hinge to restore the 73, so these parts are missing (One of the photos shows a door hinge, which is not included in the sale) Everything else shown in the photos is included.
When I bought the truck it was a very nice, and good running truck that had been in the same family since 1977. The cab is very nice, the Brahma canopy is very nice as is the interior, with no tears in the seat, or cracks in the dash top cover. The rusty and dented bed form the 73 is on the truck, as is the 73 drum brake front axle. The engine starts right up and runs great. The truck is not drivable because the brake master cylinder was removed. It steers, but will have to be towed.
The original 360 V-8 has recent valve cover gaskets, exhaust gaskets, aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, ignition wires, rotor, cap, coil and electronic ignition, which were installed just before I bought the truck. The rear window was replaced with a new fixed window at the same time. The windshield is cracked. The battery is weak from sitting, but the truck starts right up. Engine, clutch, transmission all worked fine before it was partially disassembled for parts. Positraction rear end.
As shown in the photos, the side trim strips from the 76 bed are included, as well as both front fender trim strips. Also included are a number of additional trim pieces from the rockers on the 73. Some are in reasonably good condition, and some are not. At least one trim piece is missing. There is a sliding rear window included, as well as a new, never installed rear window seal. The gauges are clear and a Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette radio is installed.
Tires are BF Goodrich Baja Champion, 35x12.5R 16.5, with lots of tread, but minor weather checking on the sidewalls. The truck comes with two ignition/door keys, 2 glove box keys, two canopy door keys, and a clear Washington State title.
Payment due within 72 hours of auction close via paypal or cash in person, and truck must be removed not later than 7 days from auction close…NO EXCEPTIONS…before bidding, please be certain you can have it removed by then. Local buyers are welcome to inspect and hear it run before auction close. I'm not interested in selling individual parts-all or nothing, no reserve, highest bidder gets it.
