1959 Ford Galaxie Description

CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741. Up for sale and your consideration is a really nice and rare 1959 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertible. It is not a 100 point show car, nor is it priced as such.It did not spend it's life in the Arizona desert, but it is a North Carolina car with a clean North Carolina title in hand. There is some evidence of some rust issues having been addressed in the past, but the car presents well andis in turn key drive away condition and can beenjoyed immediately on the day of purchase. The car was purchased from the deceased owners son, so my description of this vehicle is based on conversation with him, and a complete and thorough inspection of the vehicle, as well as servicing and driving the car. Many of the items thatwere renewed or replaced literally have zero miles on them. Please take the time to look over all 24 photos that I have listed here. If any propsective buyer has any question as to the condition or integrity of this car, I welcome and encourage the opportunity for an in person viewing by appointment during the auction period to answer any and all questions on the car.

This '59 Galaxie screams 50's style mild custom with lake pipes, dummy spots, twin mirrors, stainless skirts, dual exhaust, engine dress up, two tone paint, fuzzy dice, and stainless hubcaps that resemble chrome wheels. As you can see in the photos, it's the right colors and color combinations. Since the Uniroyal 205/75/14 tires are brand new, a decision was made to retain them instead of installing expensive wide whites that would have been period correct, but would increase the car's price considerably. My goal is to offer this vehicle at a price affordable to the average income person. I would challenge anyone to find one this nice at a better price.

DRIVELINE: The engine is a rebuilt mid 60's big block topped with a four barrel intake and carburetor (#C7DF-M) Not sure if it's a 352 or 390. Part # on the intake manifold is C3AE9425B. There is what appears to be a casting date on the left side of the block near the oil filter that reads 3B6, so my guess is the engine is a 1966. It runs great. The fuel system received the proper post storage treatment with a new fuel tank and sender, fuel line purging, new fuel pump, new filters and a carburretor rebuild. Starter and generator are fresh rebuilt. Voltage regulator is new. Starter solenoid is new. Engine received a fresh tune up and oil and filter change.

TRANSMISSION: The transmission is the original 2-Speed Ford-O-Matic. It shifts fine. Differential is also the stock unit.

BODY: As mentioned, there is evidence of some rust issues having been addressed, but the car presents very well. Just keep in mind that this car is refurbished not frame off rotisserie restored. Don't expect a $50,000 car for $25000. Brand new bumpers, mirrors, and fender guides were installed. (have receipts for all). The convertible top and back window were replaced in 2009 (have receipts). Power top works fine. Glass is all original and is showing it's age in a few spots. Paint on the car is fresh and new. Car received a professional paint job. It is a base coat clear coat finish and looks great and has a beautiful shine.

INTERIOR: Interior is the eye-pleasing tri-color red, black, and white version and is all vinyl. it goes very well with the exterior colors. Black carpets appear to have been renewed somewhere along the way. All lights and turn signals work. Back up lights do not work. Wipers are two-speed electric and work fine. Radio comes on but has alot of static. heater has a brand new $200 heater core (have receipt). Hown works. Power top works. Tonneau cover is red vinyl.

When the family decided to sell the car, the deceased owner's son took it to his mechanic and spent over $2200 to make sure the car was road worthy after being in storage (have receipt). Numerous items were renewed including brakes, ignition switch, fuel pump, battery, upper and lower radiator hoses etc. A lot of time and money was spent on this car to bring it where it is today.

Please checkmy 100% positive feedback and buy with confidence. I have accurately and honestly described this car to the best of my knowledge. I am not interested in any trades. Low ballers and story tellers need not respond. A real car person knows what they are looking at. Again any prospective buyer is welcomed and encouraged to have an in person viewing by appointment to answer any and all questions that they may have. This car has been greased, tuned up, all fluids checked and topped off. It is in turn key drive it home and enjoy immediately today condition. All it needs to be enjoyed is a new owner behind the wheel.

Terms of sale are as follows: A funds in hand purchase and a local pickup of the car is the easiest, most preferred and accepted method of completing the sale. Any other method of payment must be discussed and approved by me first. The winning buyer using either the buy it now option or winning bidder at the end of the auction will be required to complete and Ebay required Paypal non-refundable deposit of $300 to commit to the sale. To be very clear on the purchase this car is sold in AS-IS condition with no actual, implied, expressed or written warranty or guarantee of any kind. The day that you buy the car it then becomes your car. All questions will be answered on the car before and not after the sale. Remember this is a 57 year old refurbished car. If you want a frame off restored car then you will have to spend between $50,000-$90,000 as I see many of them priced in that condition. If a buyer requests shipping it will be their financial responsibility. I will be happy to assist in the appointment set-up, pick-up and loading of the car. However I would like to make a point on the shipping of the car. This is a very large, very heavy car. I live in Pennsylvania. If you live 3000 miles away from me then yes it is going to be expensive to ship this car to you. Now the shipping cost is what it is. It is the cost to move freight from point A to point B. So if you don't like the shipping charges you will have to take that issue up with your shipper not me. The cost of shipping in no way affects the value of my car making it worth less just because you live far away from me. Does that make the car worth more if you live 5 miles away from me? Of course not. So shipping cost is what it is. I wish nothing more than to have a pleasant sale here. I am very easy to get along with. Again I welcome and encourage an in person viewing of the car by any prospective buyer to answer any questions that they may have. Lastly please feel free to CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741. Thanks and good luck.
