Drive Video;
Up for bid is a beautiful late 1931 Ford Model A Victoria. This car has had a high show quality body of the frame nut & bolt restoration from a complete original barn find car about 8 years ago and has traveled only about 1,100 miles since and looks like it traveled less than 100 miles. It was sitting in a barn for over 51 years before being found and was purchased from what I believe the second owner at the time. Everything on this car is mostly original to the car and is of course all steel and has the original fenders etc. The body on this car and all the sheet metal is fantastic as you can see and the body fit on the doors are about as good as it gets. Mechanically this car has been all done from front to back and still retains the original factory numbers matching motor that was rebuilt to today’s standards including stainless valves & seats, adjustable tappets etc. . The paint was done in its original colors of Ford Maroon and black with the red vermilion pinstripe. All the glass is perfect and the front windshield has the Ford XXX markings as per judging standards. The paint is stunning throughout with only a couple of very minor spots that I mentioned in the video and nothing to concern with. The top and interior was all done by LeBaron Bonney and includes the front visors and rear window shade. All the wood graining was done to show quality standards. The motor area as well as the undercarriage are show quality as well and one could put mirrors under this car as it still shows up fresh as though it was just done. The wheels are the best I have seen including the correct metal valve stems. I have the owners manual including the original jack and extension for the jack and mostly all the paper work and receipts from all the work done including the original paint the car was done with still with a little left and includes the factory side mirror that I believe came with the car new. There will also be some photographs that were taken with the restoration. I knew this car and the person who did the work before getting it and remember the restoration well. There was over $ 38,000 put into this restoration not counting the purchase of the car so somebody is going to get a great deal as is the case when a person restores a car the next owner gets the deal. Don’t miss this Victoria it is getting very hard to find them these days like this. Best of Luck to all.
