Ford Windstar Handicapped Conversion Van
1998 Ford Windstar Description
This IMS conversion van has the floor lowered for easy wheelchair clearance. It has a new Interstate battery, it has less then 4000 miles on the tires. The front brake pads have 4000 miles on them, as does the exhaust system. The ramp was designed to automatically raise and lower. However, when I purchased this van on Ebay in December of 2011 it did not work because of metal fatigue in the mounts. I never used it, finding it easy enough to raise and lower the ramp by hand. I used this van to transport my mother after she became wheelchair bound, but no longer need it. If you need to transport someone around in a wheelchair from time to time, this is a great inexpensive way to go. The van also has a kneeling feature, but I never used it. Both front seats can be easily removed, so theoretically a person could roll themselves into position in a wheelchair to drive it.
