1914 Ford Model T Description

Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed code This car was assembled from many T parts of varied vintages. The chassis is all T . The engine is bored .030 oversize with Aluminum pistons. The crank shaft, flywheel and transmission drums have been dynamically balanced. The transmission has wood bands. The transmission front and rear end have been completely overhauled with new bearings and the rear end has bronze thrust bearings. The engine has a Camco water pump and water injection. The carburetor is a Holly model "G". On the right side of the seat is an auxiliary hand pump which pressurizes the gas tank when hill climbing. On the left side of the seat is a solidbrass brake lever.The hood and seat surroundare solid copper. The wood body is quarter sawn White Oak. The spot light is a Solar made by the Badger Brass Co. and is electrified with a Halogen bulb. The tail and cowl lamps are Kerosene and function. It has an electric stop light and turn signals. There are seat belts for the driver and passenger. Anything that isn't tied or strapped down on this car is gone. The tires are 3 1/2 x 30 oversize which actually measure 32 inches in Diameter which adds 10 MPH to the cars speed. The speedometer wheel gear is for a 30 inch so the speedometer reads 10 MPH slower than the actual speed. The tires are balanced with "Counterbalance" beads and the tubes have brass valve covers. The Stewart speedometer, Boyce Moto Meter and car clock all work. This car comes with 2 pairs of white coveralls, medium and large and a rubberized Cape if you are caught out in the rain. This car will do 50 miles an hour and will easily cruise all day at 35 or 40 MPH. It is a hit at all of the car shows we attend and a favorite of youngsters we allow to sit on it. It has won numerous awards at the local car shows. We average about 1000 or more miles a year on it. Note that in the video, wind distorted and disrupted the sound at higher speeds. It's not the engine missing.
