2002 Ford Explorer Description
Selling is great 2002 Ford Explorer XLT with towing package. Engine is a 4.6L V8. Lots of power but also decent on gas. Truck is in great shape, drives smooth down the road. Transmission shifts well. Brakes are good. Suspension seems good. No check engine lights on. Heat works great. A/C blows ice cold. Radio works good. Power seats and power side view mirrors work good. All windows work. All lights work. 4WD auto, 4WD Hi & Lo, all work great. Car is unstoppable in the snow. Lots of room for storage, space and passengers, fits 7 in total. Rear seating also all folds down. Lots of work has been done over the years. I have paperwork dating from the purchase of the vehicle from the dealership in 2002. Two owner car. Both professional/family types. Took care of the carmeticulously. Mechanically the car seems very sound. Slight noise coming from either a belt or a pulley, but doesn't seem to affect the performance. Doesn't seem to leak or burn any oil. Drives and handles great. Tires seem to still have good tread left - Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires. Few rust spots on passenger door area where it meets the wheel well. Nothing major, see pics for details. Slight body damage on passenger side (previous owner, side swiped her house a little bit), see pics for details. Front right bumper has crack. Besides that, engine pulls strong, drives straight down the road, body looks good overall, interior is clean, everything seems to work.
Bought this car from a family friend for my brother to use. However, my mom is getting a new car, so he is now getting hers. No longer need an extra car. This Explorer was maintained and cared for throughout ownership, however, I am not a mechanic. I have tried to be as honest as possible, but if you are interested in the car, feel free to come see the car in person or have your mechanic check it out. It is a 14 year old car, so it is not right off the assembly line, but it seems to be in great shape all things considering. Please remember, placing a bid is agreeing to a contract set forth by eBay, so please do not bid if you do not intend on buying the car. Buyer isresponsiblefor shipping arrangements, but we will be as helpful as possible. Good luck bidding :)
