Selling my 2003 Ford F-250 XLT truck. 5.4L 2v engine with an automatic transmission. Truck runs as it should and is in good condition. Has around 136,000 miles. I just did a ton of work this fall to it as I planned on keeping it but I need a bigger truck. If i don't get my asking price I will just keep it and continue to use it for work. Truck has a GVW of 8800 pounds but is titled for 7,000. The previousowner did it and I never changed it back as the registration is cheaper. Easily changed back at time of title transfer. Comes with a matching cap. The truck was a NY truck and had surface rust on the frame. I completely redid the truck from the cab back. Stripped it down to the frame and sanded, primered, and painted the frame and cross members with rust bullet. All rivetsweremoved, hangers removed and replaced with new and all new grade 8 bolts installed. This truck is a work truck and is dusty inside. Just needs a good cleaning. Leather seats. Rust is starting over back wheels and lower front fenders. I included a ton of pictures.This truck is a work truck that will I would not hesitate to drive anywhere. Truck gets 10mpg if you drive it like you stole it or 15mpg on the highway cruising at 65-70. Over $5,000 in new parts.Below is a list of all new parts and small stuff that is still needed.
New parts within last 1,000 milesFrom cab back sanded, primered, and painted with rust bullet(2 coats primer and 2 coats black top shell. Redid box supports with 1/8" thick steel and welded in, box underside is done in Herculiner. Gibson stainless steel dual cat back dual exhaust, Catalytic converter is removed,Power stop drilled and slotted rotors front and rear,Power stop truck and tow brake pad, Dip stick tube,Both exhaust manifolds and studs,Fuel filter, motorcraft spark plugs, all 8 coil packs(Delphi), all rear leaf spring hangers and shackles, new heavy duty rear leaf springs (3300lbs rated each), air filter, Monroe magnum shocks, Airtex fuel pump, rear left,right and center brake hoses, copper nickel brake lines (won't rust), fuel tank straps, moog universal joints, parking brake cables, pads, and hardware kit, moog sway bar bushings, moog track bar,MEVOTECH heavy duty greaseable sway bar links, differential cover and gasket, rear dust shields, rear axle seals, new gear oil in rear, curt HD class 5 hitch, 19 quarts of Castrol transmission fluid, transmission filter, Castrol oil and filter, spare tire is almost new.
Needs:ABS sensor is on for a bad sensor in the front. I pulled the fuse and was going to replace it when it needed hubs.Rear drivers side door opens hard. Never looked into why.Passenger side doors were replaced and need adjustment. I haven't gotten around to it yet. Also, the passenger side lock cylinder needs to be redone to fit the existing key. Easy and cheap but again i haven't gotten to it. Videos on youtube on how to do it.Rust starting over wheels. A set of fender flares will do wonders.Patches welded in box. They are bolted in now. I was waiting until warmer weather to weld them.Catalytic converter is removed as it was rusted through.
