Are all of your cars salvage? Why do you buy them??
No! Some are clean title thefts. Others are dealer trade-ins. We clearly state at the top of each ad what it is. We buy theft recoveries because our customers want deals. Five years ago we wanted great deals and discovered theft recoveries, and in the process we convinced ourselves of their value -- the owners and employees drive them! Even Dennis's and Roger's mom drives a 2006 theft recovered Lexus!
What is a salvage title?
It's a brand put on a title, almost exclusively by insurance companies, to note when a car has been deemed a "total loss." A total loss occurs when the insurance company pays out the value of the car to its insured. Insurance companies pay out the value of the car to the owner when it is stolen. Therefore, a brand of "salvage" is then placed on the title.
I've heard to not buy salvage title vehicles because they're bad cars and cannot be resold. Is that true?
Certainly some are bad cars. However, with our years of experience, we know the difference between the good cars and bad ones. When we get a bad one, we simply sell it wholesale -- it never makes it to this site. Both Roger and Dennis drive salvage title theft recoveries. Roger loads his children in a salvage title from theft Toyota Matrix daily. We believe in these cars.
As for resale, that's simply a question of price. If you own a salvage title Ferrari for $10,000, you will have no problem selling it. In fact, you'll be able to sell it in 3 minutes on your local street corner. You'll be able to sell the vehicle you buy from us because you will buy it for FAR less than it's clean title, often worse condition, equivalent.
Why is this Ford salvage?
Insurance companies must declare a vehicle salvage from an accident when there is a total loss, but they have discretion with theft vehicles. Many insurance companies choose to salvage all thefts, regardless of condition, as a policy to avoid liability; this Ford is such a vehicle.
Was this Ford in a wreck?
No! Unless otherwise stated in the ad, professionals have examined this Ford and have concluded it has not been involved in a major, salvage-level accident.
How do I get a loan/insurance on a salvage title vehicle?
To be driven on the street, get a loan, and have it insured, a salvage title car must be converted from a salvage branding to "restored salvage." A restored salvage title is issued when the state inspects the car and deems it to be safe and road worthy. We do not anticipate any problem passing an inspection, and we will guarantee that it will pass Arizona inspection. Please note that most lending institutions will not loan on a salvage or restored salvage vehicle. The exceptions are USAA and Navy Federal. Otherwise, your best bet is a local credit union. If you need financing, please secure it before making an offer. We do not offer in house financing (yet).
I'd really like to get a loan and/or drive the vehicle home, but you say it's still salvage, so how can I do it without having the title restored?
We will be happy to take the vehicle down to motor vehicle for $200 and get the vehicle a restored salvage title. We leave the title salvage in case the buyer would rather do it themselves. Please note however that you cannot drive the salvage title car away: IT MUST BE SHIPPED. If you pay us to restore the title, then it can be driven. It's up to you-- very easy either way!
Can it be driven?
Only after the title is converted to a restored salvage title. (please see answer above!) The Ford cannot be driven until the title is restored.
Is this really a good idea?
Wheel Kinetics has two cars for business use-- a 06 Acura TL and an 05 Toyota Matrix. Both cars are restored salvage and similar to this Truck in their histories. And both cars have provided years of service without an issue. You can go to the dealer and pay thousands more.... or you can buy our Truck for much less and enjoy the same Truck! You'll be thrilled with your decision. Look at our feedback and see how many others loved their decision!
What about resale? Won't I get really hurt when I try to resell the because of the salvage title?
No! First, the primary measure of a vehicle's value is the known condition. The second is the vehicle's history. The salvage title is the effect of the vehicle's history, not the cause. While the Ford is in good condition, it is substantially discounted because of its history. If it wasn't substantially discounted, you wouldn't be reading this -- you would have moved on long ago. In other words, the discount for the history and title is already built in to our price. When you sell thi, you'll sell it at a similar relative discount to the "clean history" market, and you'll find someone -- often many people -- who, like you, are more interested in saving money and driving a great vehicle than paying more for words on a piece of paper (title). We often hear of our customers making money, or at worst breaking even, after driving their vehicle for a year!
Why doesn't Wheel Kinetics restore the title before sale?
Some of our buyers are very experienced with salvage title vehicles, and they can save money by having it inspected on their own. We can restore the title for $200, or you can do it on your own, so long as it is towed from our property and not driven on the street.
Terms of SaleWinning Bidders If you buy this vehicle, the very first thing you must do is this link to go to our winning bidder page. This page explains all of the post-auction steps and gives all needed information! Please, before doing anything, click this link! You will get access to our custom "MyCar" web system with all of the information, documents, and procedures to get your new car. And even better, the webpage keeps you updated on the transaction status! Additionally, this Ford will remain for sale on our website until your information is entered.
Deposit & Info Required eBay sales aren't in a bubble -- we sell our vehicles in a variety of forums, including on our award-winning website. Therefore, even if you 'win' the vehicle on eBay, it will remain for sale until: (1) You enter your information into our website (the link is in the "Winning Bidder" section above) AND (2) You make the $500 deposit (done through our website). That combination stops customers on our website from making offers and is the only way to insure that you are the buyer. To the extent that any portion of this auction/ad conflicts with this section, this section controls.
Contract Rescission Wheel Kinetics reserves the right, in its sole and absolute descretion, to void the sale at any time and refund all collected money to the Buyer.
eBay Representations Void The area of the auction from our logo up is controlled by eBay. Much of the information above our logo, including options and features, "auto populates" based on eBay's computers. Those computers are often incorrect. Therefore, you CANNOT RELY on options or features listed by eBay. Only rely on information presented from our logo and below.
Maintenance Unless noted in the "Repairs Made" section above, we do not perform any maintenance. That includes all fluids, air filter, etc. Several years ago we changed fluids, but buyers thought the new fluids indicated that we were hiding something. Silly, in our opinion. But the sentiment occurred enough that we stopped with fluid changes. We do check all fluids for the proper amount.
Steering Wheel Play Ford builds very loose steering boxes for their trucks. Some people may not be used to the amount of steering slop inherent in a Ford truck.
Front End Wear We (nor any dealer, including Ford factory dealers) properly inspect ball joints and related parts. The proper way to inspect is with a run out gauge for play and spec. (Incompetent mechanics love to hand twist the joints and claim that the "slop" is proof of excessive wear) Therefore, to avoid debates with the truck thousands of miles away, please assume that this truck will have front end wear, including but not limited to the ball joints, arms, steering stabilizer, and all other parts associated with the front suspension that may require replacement.
After-Sale Repairs We will not reimburse any repairs which are performed prior to our authorization. If you feel there is a problem with your vehicle upon delivery, notify us immediately. We require that any issue be documented by video (easy to do with modern cell phones). You agree that any repair that you make without our prior consent will not be reimbursed and that you will hold Wheel Kinetics harmless for the repairs.
Leaks If you do not like leaks, do not buy a used truck. It is normal for trucks to seep oil, particularly through transfer case casting cracks, motor and transmission gaskets, etc. We inspect for fluid leaks, not fluid seeps. Assume that this truck will come with fluid seepage.
VibrationsCars and trucks vibrate, especially used cars and trucks with 90758 miles. We note vibrations whenever present, and you can watch our great driving videos for particulars. Most vibrations are caused by tires (second being brakes from warped rotors, third being driveshaft). In an ongoing effort to keep our vehicle prices down for customers, we often sell vehicles on bad tires. That allows you to choose the best size and quality for your application (we can put you in contact with our tire shop and receive our discounted pricing). However, vibrations are vague and very subjective. It is nearly impossible to troubleshoot a vibration over the phone given the subjectivity in the description. Therefore, we must disclaim all vibrational issues. Please assume that this Ford will have a vibration.
Guarantee We are the only dealership to not bind you by contract if you decide that you do not like the vehicle in person! If you purchase sight unseen, you are welcome to take the vehicle AFTER THE SALE to any mechanic, body shop, etc. of your choice within the 1 day and 50 miles!
However, we will only refund the full price of the vehicle and take the vehicle back -- we will not pay a lesser amount to fix parts. (Ultimately, you either like the buy or you don't) If you view the vehicle in person before paying, the above does not apply -- you must inspect to your satisfaction before paying.
Driving/Description Video: This ad contains a video where we describe the vehicle further and give you close ups of various features and issues to give you, the buyer, an in depth and personal look at the vehicle. By making an offer, you agree that you have watched the above video, the descriptions in the video are part of this agreement, and you accept the video representations in full.
Payment $500 NON REFUNDABLE, unless the buyer personally inspects the vehicle and rejects the sale, deposit due on acceptance of our offer. We accept credit cards online using 256bit EV-SSL encryption, Authorize.Net security, and Wells Fargo Merchant Services. Full payment is due within 7 days of the auction's end. Credit cards CANNOT be used for full payment. If either the payment or deposit terms are breached, we may relist and/or void the sale. Certified funds only. (This means no Capital One "blank checks," Ebay funding, or any kind of bank draft as they take weeks to clear.)
Non-Paying Bidders / Liquidated Damages Unfortunately, many buyers on eBay do not follow through with their contracts and simply play on the computer. When we relist because of a non-paying bidder, that creates doubt in the minds of subsequent bidders as to the vehicle's quality. Additionally, the vehicle is tied up for weeks waiting for a nonexistent payment, we lose eBay fees, and and we lose interest. Therefore, to stay in business, we regrettably must include the following, strongly worded terms.
If for any reason the bidder/buyer fails to pay in full, we will relist the vehicle. The non-paying winning bidder/buyer owes Wheel Kinetics 8% of the final bid amount plus $130 for the eBay ad. Additionally, the bidder/buyer also owes all court costs, attorney's fees, and costs associated with litigating, obtaining, and/or enforcing a judgment. Please be serious in your bidding! We take this very seriously, and we respectfully ask that you do too.

As-Is The car is sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied, including the implied warranty of merchantability, or any guarantees for any purpose, unless expressly modified by the terms and descriptions above or law.
Offer AssumptionsBecause these vehicles often sit idle, the battery becomes low and dashboard lights appear. Assume when bidding that every dash light will be on when the vehicle arrives. Also assume that all vehicles do not have a spare or tools, keyless entry, antenna, radio, manuals, or service history unless pictured. Cruise control is not tested.
Theft CarsAll cars are reasonably inspected, and we think that our feedback speaks to our accurate disclosures. We closely inspect the engine/powertrain of the car and frame, and we typically drive each car many miles to give a great description and deal. If we see any issue, we put it in the ad. However, there may be latent, undiscovered issues in areas outside of engine/powertrain and frame present in recovered theft vehicles. This heightened purchasing risk lowers the price and creates a potentially incredible value. The thousands of dollars that you are saving compensate you for potential, though unlikely, undiscovered issues.
We show you what's wrong, not what's right. We highlight every concern so you know issues in minutes instead of hours, or worse, after becoming the owner.
dSLR PicturesOur Canon 6D camera is better than the human eye. We show every flaw, and we take pride in showing those flaws with excruciating detail.
Fully InspectedWe made a custom, in-house app for our vehicle inspections. All of our findings, pictures, and inspection videos come to you.
VALUE No SalesmenUsed car salesmen. Ugh.
They lie. They don't know their product. And they cost a lot of money. We know, we tried. So we tossed them out and leveraged the Internet. When you communicate with Wheel Kinetics, you talk to one of the owners.
Our storage lot is low-rent, low-brow. No fancy structures, inflated gorillas, or even traffic count. In fact, there are no billboards, silly radio ads, or typical dealership fluff. Two owners, no employees. It's all online.
EfficientEndless hours traipsing hot asphalt with incompetent salesmen are over. Discover hidden defects without bringing an expert. If you take 15 minutes to read our ad, you will know more than spending hours personally inspecting.
