1963 Ford F100 Custom Cab
1963 Ford F-100 Description
This is a nice, original truck. I bought it from the original owner in September 2015. The truck was purchased June 20, 1963 in Kansas City and spent its entire life in the KC area, until I shipped it to the Chicago area in September. I love the truck but it was somewhat of an impulse purchase and I just have too much going on to tinker with another old truck.
It is a long bed Styleside, Custom Cab with the rare wrap around rear window which is not only rare, but super cool looking! Other options include chrome front and rear bumpers, arm rests, and a 292 2-barrel Y-block with a manual 3 on the tree. You can see the truck is totally original, except for the hubcaps and one repaint. It starts, runs, drives, shifts and stops just fine. All mechanical systems are in good working order. It's original and shows it's age in some places. Brakes were just rebuilt. I replaced the master cylinder, all 4 wheel cylinders, front flexible hose brake lines, and rear brake lines. Most importantly, this truck has no rust. Bed, floor pans, and cab mounts are all solid. Body sheet metal is straight and original. It's a 20-footer. Up close you will see it has an amateur prep and paint job. Not a show truck -- just a great, attention-getting driver, cruise night truck. Unmolested vintage trucks are getting more difficult to find.
