1973 Ford F-250 Ranger Camper Special Description

I unfortunately have to sell my truck. It is only a 2 door and I have a child in a car seat which makes it pretty tight for my wife, the car seat and I to drive around. This isn't a sissy truck, so if you're looking for one you can drive to the opera in, stop reading and keep searching. This is a tough truck ready to work and help you look tougher! So if you want a truck built in an era when trucks were trucks and worked on farms and drove on dirt roads, keep reading...
These old Fords are getting harder to find, especially the Camper Special which means it has an extra beefy set of leafs in the rear to accommodate for a camper shell. I used it probably on average 1-2 times a week for work since I purchased it in 2013. I have put quite a bit of work into her and she drives pretty well. It's not a show truck and has it's flaws, scratches and dings here and there, but all in all it's a great truck. The transmission is a 3 speed and shifts smoothly. Engine is a 67' Mercury 410 c.i. This is a pretty rare engine as it was only made for 2 years, however parts are easy to find as it's it's just a FE 390 block with a 428 crank. Every now and then it has to turn over a few extra times to start. There is a slight vibration at certain speeds, but not bad. It brakes well and straight, steers smoothly and tracks straight down the road. It is an AC original truck but it needs to be upgraded to 134a and hoses replaced. The doors open and swing great and do not sag.
You might have noticed there are a few trim pieces not in the photos...I have them all, just haven't put them back on and they come with the truck.
It has dual gas tanks, however the rear one in not hooked up. I bypassed the selector on the floor board for just the front tank. I honestly haven't tried to get them both working because I have never really had the use for two tanks.
Below is a list of things it needs and what I have done...I may have missed a small an item or two...
Here's what I've done:
Repainted the original color combo
New Edelbrock 1411 750 cfm carb.
New rear brake cylinders
New drag link and rubber bushings
New distributor, rotor and cap
Undated to electronic Pertronix ignition and Flame Thrower coil
New air filter
New spark plugs and wires
New harmonic balancer
New exhaust manifold gaskets
New valve cover gaskets
New carpet kit
New seat covers
New door panels
I just ordered a new dash pad cover, which has not arrived yet but will be installed as soon as it does.
TLC It Needs
Front windshield gasket. I intended to replace it, hence the stainless trim around the window being off.
Rear sliding window channel needs the fuzzy seals. Was going to swap in a solid rear window.
Steering wheel is cracked, so if that bugs you then you might want to replace it
It is due for an oil change. I always have used Mobile 1 full synthetic.
Oil pan gasket
AC registers in the dash, missing two outside ones
Windshield heater plenum needs to be replaced.
