2002 F250 crew cab 7.3L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel 4x4 BONE STOCK
2002 Ford F-250 Description
So here it is. The one you want. The one everybody wants. Possibly the finest truck engine ever designed and built to run even if you pour pancake syrup and cement mix in it! It's got everything you need: the turbo, the four wheel drive, the tow package with extra power ports, and room for your whole crew. I even left it bone stock for you, so you can soup it up the way you've always wanted without worrying about how someone else might have mucked with it. Why would I even get rid of it? I no longer need a work truck and it's time for me to buy something that was meant to just be a daily driver. This truck deserves better than just putting back and forth to the same building and sitting around for the next twenty years. Save it from that fate and yourself from having to settle for some six liter that'll blow up on you if you sneeze while driving it.
This truck is loaded with all the nice stuff that was available at the time: power doors/windows/front seats, CD/AM/FM radio, Ford bed liner, tow package with mirrors and I'll throw in my 2" hitch (pictured), etc. There's also a custom headache rack on it and some unistrut along the top of the bed I added so that you can slide 3/4" wood down it to make a bed cover (I have one that's yours if you want it). I'll also throw in the programmer paddle so you can play around with it!
Stuff I've recently replaced: new hydro booster as of 1/17, new tires as of 9/16. Replaced batteries, discs, pads, water pump, fan, belt and alternator within the last year or so. Batteries have a three year replacement warranty on them from Autozone. There might be a way to transfer that over.
Stuff I've left for you so you can feel super cool when you fix it: Truck bed on driver side is damaged from an exploded tire. The rubbery piece on the center console has popped loose from the years of desert heat, so you can try to reattach or buy a replacement. The driver seat has a tear along its side, so a cover or re-upholster is in order. The front passenger door is missing the lower cubby space. The horn either has a blown fuse or is detached, I forget which, same with the cruise control. The hood needs new lift supporters (cheap and satisfying!) The turbo tubes end up filling with oil and leaking. This is a problem those 02's had right out the gate, but I usually would just drain them. They say there's an aftermarket solution now, so you can handle that. Other minor oil leaks may exist but are hidden by the turbo leak. Small scuffs, dings, chipped/faded paint in areas. I also think the vacuum line for the 4wd is disconnected. Nothing major, but still enough to keep me from trying to get more out of it.
As it's an older truck and all original, you may want to throw in some Stiction Eliminator from Hot Shot's Secret and their fuel additive, Diesel Extreme. This will help clean up the injectors and get you some more life out of them.
