2004 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor
2004 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Description
Up for your consideration is a 2004 Crown Victoria P71 police interceptor. Vehicle still has partition in it. The rear door handles are disabled from the inside. There's really nothing else that makes it obvious this was an ex-police cruiser - no loose / cut wiring. It's a pretty clean P71 otherwise.
I've been driving this vehicle 300 miles per week for the past five months now with no issues. However I'd like to point out that I believe it needs tie rods because it does have a slight wonder on the highway. The starter makes a squeel on startup and the engine idles high for 45 seconds on a cold start (probably needs an idle air control valve $50 part). These are all issues that I've had since I've owned it and regardless it's been a reliable commuter.
Vehicle is currently inspected and insured and is being driven daily. Heat works, a/c blows cold and transmission shifts smooth. The ripped driver's seat cover has been replaced with one in good condition (as shown in the driver's seat picture) and the steering wheel replaced with one in excellent condition. The rear bench seat is in excellent condition. The rubber floor is in good condition. All windows work and are tinted fairly dark. Vehicle comes with a full-sized spare and undercover "Street appearance package" (SAP) style wheel covers. Tires are good.
The whole people not wanting to pass / slow down when they see me thing is getting old. Time to move on to something else. It will make an excellent firefighter /security vehicle as there's enough room in the trunk to fit a Prius - or use it as a commuter as I did. The partition is perfect for those who have kids they don't want to listen to or a dog.
