1997 Ford Ranger XLT Description

Offered for sale is my 1997 Ford Ranger XLT. Approximately 224k miles, this little guy runs great and is always up for a challenge! Has a locking bed cover to put your valuables in too.
I've owned it since 2005 and though I didn't do the best job taking care of the paint - I have been very meticulous about mechanical maintenance.
Truck has had regular oil changes every 5K miles.
In the past 10K miles:
Fresh set of Hankook tires, replaced motor mounts, replaced power steering pump, replaced front wheel bearings, brake discs and pads, replaced the emissions control system (including the catalytic converter). It now passes smog like a brand new truck and will be able to pass for another decade without fail. The above is literally thousands of dollars in work - and I have the receipts to back up all the work as well.
Timing belt was replaced at 180K, and shocks and struts were done at 160k.
Of course, it's not perfect. The paint is bad and it has surface rust on the roof. The hood latch can be a pain to latch fully. The A/C does not work, the windshield wiper squirter doesn't squirt, and the dome light is disabled (Ford Ranger's are notorious for having issues with the interior dome light).
But it drives and shifts and very well, starts up every morning, and doesn't leak a drop of oil or any other fluids. Has an aftermarket stereo with an AUX connecter, and I replaced the rear 6X9 speakers a year ago, sounds good in there.
Main reason for selling is I'd like to get something with an extended cab, and my girlfriend hates it because it looks hideous - but if you are looking for an affordable, do it all truck that will pass smog and runs well, this is a solid choice.
