1997 Ford Mustang Description

SMOGGED for your convenience (and assurance). Smog certificate is good until June 3, 2016.

General: This car is in Fair toGood condition according to Kelly Blue Book's description (I took their quiz)even when the A/C and window issue are taken into consideration.

Motor: ODOMETER IS EXEMPT (I estimated the 160,000 mileage on my 1997 Explorer's [which is a high 168,000] and the Kelly Blue Book average for this yearMustang of 117,000 miles and averaged them out). The odometer in the Mustang is stuck at 83,000 and was that way when I bought it - not a problem at DMV ). The motor runs great and the transmission is smooth.I replaced the coolant temperature sensor, the clutch and the fuel pump/tank since I have owned it.Have given it regular oil changes and plugs. I replaced the brakes as well about a year ago and the tires about the same time. Picture of dash instruments while engine idling included. Recently replaced coolant temperature sensor.

Body: Good shape save for a dent on passenger side rear near wheel well (see picture). General minorscratches and somesun fadingon the paint on the top of the cabin (see pics). Missing one factory hub-cap you can probably find at a junk yard.

Interior: General wear and tear though cloth upholstery is intact.Driver window doesn't roll down (window motor and switches are good [I switched them out with the passenger side ones and tested them- there is abreak ina wire that you an see when the door is open. Just never got around to fixing it because it is hard for me to reach due to arthritis and declining eyesight) This is something that you can probably fix yourself if you have theaptitude and for little or no cost:Stereo faceplate is missing (stolen) but speakers/amplifier are intact. You can get a pretty good stereo/CD player these days for $100 from Audio Express anyway installed.

Vehicle was purchased used from a small dealership here in Las Vegas a few years ago and has served us well.I have always done the plugs and oil, etc., myself until recently (due to health). It is an easy car to work on even for a non-mechanic such as myself and parts are common and relatively cheap. It is a lot of fun to drive and gets very good gas mileage.
