History: May 1997, the editor of Mustang Monthly and Fast Fords picked up a new Cobra and from day one, this was his research vehicle for their readers. This Cobra was at the forefront of Dual Overhead Cam technology. Whatever was new was tried and only the best was added. Fast forward to 2012, the staff decided to build a mild "stroker" motor. The goal was to make alot of power, without forced induction, and have it 100% reliable.
Current Engine: Livernois built, and tuned, FRPP Boss 5.0 Big Bore Block (5.3 liter). FRPP added 17mm thick main webbing, and four bolt mains with nodular iron main caps. The Short Block was topped with Livernois Stage 2 CNC Ported cylinder heads on a 5 axis machine and fitted with custom ground factory size intake and exhaust valves. Custom Cam Shafts were Split duration cut by Comp Cams. Long block was then topped with a 2003 Mach 1 Intake Manifold.
Condition: Windshield has a stone chip, and drivers seat has usual cracking for leather seats. Car runs strong and needs nothing (Dyno'd over 500hp with 470lb/ft torque) other than a new owner to have fun with.
