Priced BELOW Blue Book for condition !
Offering my nice 1997 Power Stroke 7.3L long bed crew cab dually.
This is MY TRUCK, and NOT somebody else's trade-in.
I have two 1997 7.3L trucks, and no longer need the crew cab.
Hands down, THIS is the stronger engine of the two, always runs strong, pulls with ease.
I purchased this baby from the son of the original owner in January of 2013 as my back-up dually.
Was originally purchased in Louisiana to haul an 11k-pound vacation house trailer.
The longest trip I took her on was out to Seattle in August of 2013; the longest run since then was from Lower Alabama to Binghampton, New York; never a worry with this truck.
I have driven this truck over 30k stress-free highway miles.
Here is the maintenance ( and current system status ) that I have performed since purchasing her:
- New Front Brakes ( still a lot of meat left on them ).
- All New Front Ball Joints, Front Tires and Alignment just this past Spring with less than 4k miles since then.
- The overdrive lamp began flashing when the overdrive clutch pack retaining ring relaxed, so I had the transmission replaced with a Rebuilt transmission from Ford ( has less then 30k miles on it since replaced ).
- New Transmission Cooler ( within the last year, changed it when the old one cracked while changing the trans oil ).
- Fresh Trans fluid.
- Fresh trans front and rear seals.
- Fresh engine rear main seal.
- Royal Purple in the differential.
- Two New Red Top batteries ( I purchased both new in March 2013 ).
- New glow plug solenoid from Ford ( March-ish 2013 ).
- Mitsubishi starter ( March-ish 2013 ) and it cranks like nobody's business !
- Rebuilt alternator shortly after purchase.
- New Surpentine Belt.
- New Cam Sensor ( I purchased the better IHC manufactured sensor ).
- New aft fuel tank fuel pick-up & sender ( that cost around $500. to purchase and replace ).
- Fresh oil change ( Rotella 15W-40 dinosaur oil ), oil filter and fuel filter, all fresh.
- Bed has excellent Rhino Liner.
Has nice rear tires.
Clear coat is peeling on the passenger side doors.
I have paid close attention to this baby and taken care of every issue as quickly as possible, and performed preventative maintenance to keep her healthy...more than $ 5000. spent getting her right and keeping her ready to roll !
...all money well spent.
The driver side window is not responding to the rocker switch; your gain, I have dropped the price by $ 1,000.
This is a great work horse.
My truck is for sale locally and is currently parked at my mom's place in Newton, Alabama.
Come look her over, take her out for a try, and driver her home.
