1947 Ford Other Pickups Mercury Description
1947 Mercury One Ton Pickup Truck, veryrare truck in great shape with original Flathead V8. This truck had been sitting at a Ford dealership in Saskatchewan, Canada where it had sat since it broke down nearby in 1969! Can help to arrange to ship anywhere for buyer. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder.
It was originally maroon but was painted green by some young 'hippy' students in the late 60's and they also painted the flowers on it and named it Bertha. It was used as a daily driver and still has the University of Saskatchewan Student Parking sticker in the windshield from 1969. It broke down close to Chamberlain, Saskatchewan in the summer of 69 and was towed to Bennett's Ford where it has sat ever since. The young owner told them to keep it as he had no money for repairs. It hadn't been touched since until we hauled it out of there.
The body is in excellent shape with no rust at all. The interior is also in good original condition. All of the Mercury specific emblems and grille are in very good condition along with the very rare Mercury One Ton hubcaps.
