1979 Ford F-150 Ranger Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door Description

We are offering this unit for sale on this eBay auction as well as having it listed for sale with other sources and also on display for sale on our lot at 311 West Main in Enterprise, Oregon. Therefore we reserve the right to endthe auction at any time as we have it advertised for $6,285 and we'll sell it to the first buyer that we receive these funds from. This unit is a two owner unit from Montana and the original owner owned it for nearly all of it's life. We purchased it from a local fellow who hauls cars and trucks for us and he found this unit and bought it to resell. We purchased it a couple of month ago and started on the reconditioning of the unit to make it a daily drivable pickup. The unit is a survivor with nearly every part on it still a Ford factory installed item. Of course the filters had been serviced and probably mufflers among other wear items and those that time takes a toll on and just needed to be replaced. We serviced all of the fluids in all theboxes, serviced the transmission, changed the fluid in the transfer case, both differentials and naturally the engine. We also did a complete tune-up on the engine, new plugs, cap, rotor, wires, new heat tube riser, PCV valve, fuel filter, air filterand a new carburetor so it is running very smooth and strong. The front end needed a little bit of attention also and this included new radius arm bushings, a new track bar and drag link wereinstalled and the front end alignment was done, Thefan belt, air conditioner belt and the alternator belt were all changed. The front hubs were packed and new wheel seals & hub sealswere installed. The headlight dimmer switch was a bit sticky so that was also replaced. All the lights were checked with some bulbs replaced and a loose ground wire was found. We cleaned up all the factory wheels and had those repainted so they look practically like the new Ford white spokes of the day. Then we did a complete detail on this unit and the paint sure responded nicely to a buff and wax. Got it all done and went for a drive and this old truck is just impressive on how tight the cab is, how nice it drives and it is still a pretty darn good looking survivor of an original Ford F150 4wheel drive pickup! This one is one of the few that was built as a full time 4x4 as Ford only did this for a short while. Remember the age of this truck and the fact that it has never been restored so it is a 38 year old vehicle with 38 year old components.
