1930 ford model A 165-D Briggs Fordor Sedan NO RESERVE, SURVIVOR
1930 Ford Model A Description
Up for auction today is an incredible 1930 Model A 165-D Briggs Fordor Sedan that in the last 24 hours I have fallen in love with. first of all I am not a model A expert in fact I have only been playing with these for about a week now. As I began to pull this car out of the back corner of the collection I began to realize how tight it is, the doors open and close perfectly except forthe front passenger door is a bit tight to open. When the doors are closed they are super tight. The hood fit isalsowhat I call perfect. The interior is sayingthat it is totallyoriginal. The body on this87 year old car isvery nice, it has been hit in the rear and there has been some filler put in about a 12 inch section and it looks like they left some body damage. I do know this car has been in the same family for at least 60 years, did they buy it new, nobody knows. All the wood in the car looks perfect. The way everything fits I think it is a truesurvivor. It appears to have had one paint job and never been taken apart. The car does not run now and it has not run since around 1973 when it was last serviced. The engine manually cranks over as there is no battery installed, oilin the engine looks new,all gears shift smoothly, the brakes work, the steering feels great, the pedals operate smoothly. Hopefully a true ModelA fan will buy this car and not take it apart. This car also has no rust issues it has been stored in a temperature controlled room in Reno, Nevada for many years. I am going to start the auction at 3,000.00 withNO RESERVE. I prefer paypal or cash for payment. If you have any questions or would like to come inspect it please call me at 1-775-544-9600 and my name is Bart.I think this car would love todrive down the road again very soon.
