2001 Ford F150 Lightning SVT
2001 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Description
2001 Ford F150 SVT Lightning with 114,XXX miles. Supercharged 5.4 liter engine, 385HP/450TQ. Rare truck, with low miles, hard to find these days. I am 2nd owner of this truck and it has been my daily driver for the last 7 years. Very well maintained, religiously changed the oil with Motorcraft synthetic blend every 3K miles. The truck has only had the stock tune and stock supercharger pulleys its whole life. The truck runs great (she's fast!), looks great and everything works, cold AC. I just had the seats re-upholstered. Suede seats, suede headliner, and suede sun visors. I have all of the maintenance records, oil changes, and receipts for everything that has been done to it. After market goodies:
-Chickenears Stage 1 cold air intake
-C&L aluminum power elbow
-JCS oil separator
-supercharger silencer holes filled
-rear catalytic converters deleted with true dual Flowmaster cat-back exhaust; dual 4 inch tips
-Dirty Dog performance transmission capable of handling 500HP/600TQ
-Stage 1 torque converter; lighter weight than stock, engine revs faster
-Stage 1 valve body (shift kit); shifts very firm
-Trick Flow deep aluminum transmission pan
-oversized transmission cooler and remote transmission fluid filter
-BellTech lowering kit
-JLP long bars (traction bars)
-Hellwig adjustable helper springs (help with towing)
-Rocket Racing 20 inch wheels with Nitto 420S tires
-Cross-drilled and slotted rotors up front with EBC Green pads
-SnugTop lockable tonneau cover
-Aluminum billet grill
-Tinted windows
-Depo headlights, turn signals, and fog lights
-Optima Yellow Top battery (2 years old)
-Double DIN Pioneer DVD/CD/MP3 player; 7 inch touchscreen with Bluetooth
-Alpine components speakers in all 4 corners with dedicated Alpine amplifier
-Alpine single 10 inch subwoofer with dedicated Alpine amplifier
-Spray-in bedliner
What's wrong with it:
-ABS light is on constantly; I've changed all 3 ABS sensors and bled the brakes multiple times with no luck. ABS module is the likely culprit; THE BRAKES WORK FINE OTHERWISE.-Passenger side valve cover leaks a little oil, not enough to drip on the ground. I have new FelPro valve cover gaskets and MAY get around to changing them, but will be included in the sale if I do not.-One idler pulley chatters a bit on startup, but only on startup.-Odometer display occasionally doesn't show the mileage. This is a known problem with these model year trucks. The ECM still captures the mileage being driven.-The truck is starting to get the "1999-2004 Ford ball joint squeak". The ball joint boots are not torn and the truck drives/handles great. Normal wear and tear, so they may need to be changed in the near future.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
