It's got real four wheel drive too with 3.73 limited slip differentials. Best of all, it's got a POWERSTROKE DIESEL engine that runs great!

We have been driving this truck for about a month and honestly, it runs and drives better than some we've had with half the mileage. If we told you this truck had 83k instead of 283k, you'd believe us! Yes, that sounds like a lot of sales hype, but on this truck it happens to be true. It fires right up and runs perfect hot or cold. We used it to pull a 9,000lb camper nearly 150 miles a few weeks ago with no issues. We like that it has the Chrome Package which includes a unique grille, chrome front tow hooks, chrome mirror covers, chrome bed tiedown hooks, and a chrome exhaust tip.

This is no stripped-down work truck either. It's a loaded-up Lariat with many upgrades such as a bedliner, trailer brake controller, and an AM/FM Stereo with 6CD changer as well as a console between the front captain's chairs. Also included are a set of alloy wheels that are wrapped in a nice set of BRAND NEW tires which, along with the leveling kit, really set this truck apart from the crowd. We've driven it quite a few miles and can't find anything to complain about.

This truck was traded-in at the local dealer on a new one. It doesn't run rough cold either! Naturally, the EGR cooler has already been deleted. What this means for you is that all the 6.0 Powerstroke issues are already taken care of and this truck has enough power to go anywhere and do it as fast as you want. These '06-07 trucks have a lot of other updates done by the factory to the engine that the earlier models do not have. These upgrades increase reliability and longevity immensely compared to the older ones.

Don't let the 283k miles worry you, it's barely broken-in! It has NO BLOWBY. The steering is tight. There are no thunks when you go over bumps. It could easily pass for one with half the miles or less. We regularly see these trucks with 400-500,000 miles and running strong. This truck has clearly spent it's life out on the interstate. It's a Southern truck so there are absolutely NO RUST HOLES OR RUST BUBBLES. We've had our mechanic go over this truck top to bottom so we wouldn't hesitate to get in this truck and drive it anywhere! Feel free to fly in and drive it home no matter where that may be. Best of all, we need to free up the money so we're selling this truck with a NO RESERVE so it will sell even if it is for THOUSANDS BELOW the book value of over $20,000!!!

There are a variety of minor options and drivetrain changes on the 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup. SuperCabs are eligible for the Lariat Highline Package, which adds chrome details and black leather seating. A power equipment group is now available on base XL models, as is a cloth front bench seat. F-250s equipped with the base 5.4-liter V8 have a standard 4.10 rear axle. Due to the stricter emissions standards in California, New York, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont the 5.4-liter engine with a manual transmission is dropped, as is the 6.8-liter V10 for those states. Finally, Ford has extended powertrain warranty coverage to five years/60,000 miles.

The next step up the ladder is a three-quarter-ton pickup truck, and Ford's entry in this class is the 2006 F-250 Super Duty. Square-jawed, big-rig styling distinguishes the F-250 from its half-ton sibling on the outside, but the most important differences are underneath where a stouter frame and larger engines give it the strength to carry heavier payloads and pull heavier trailers.

The Power Stroke offers more low-rpm torque than the gas V10, as well as a higher Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) -- up to 26,000 pounds. It's the best choice for buyers with serious towing requirements and is the most popular engine in the F-250 lineup.

trim levels & features The 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty comes in Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab body styles. SuperCab models have small rear-opening doors, while the Crew Cab has four full-size swing-out doors. SuperCabs and Crew Cabs are available with a short or long bed; regular cabs are long-bed only. There are three trim levels available -- XL, XLT and Lariat; note that regular cabs are available only in XL and XLT form.

XL models are meant to be work trucks, and as such come with a vinyl bench seat in front; manual windows, mirrors and locks; a basic AM/FM radio; and no air-conditioner. Additional comforts can be purchased as options or you can move up to the XLT, which adds cloth upholstery, a 40/20/40 front bench, air-conditioning, a CD player, cruise control and a full set of power controls. High-line Lariats come with features like leather upholstery, a power driver seat and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Numerous options and packages are available for the Ford F-250. In addition to the packages mentioned earlier, there are the Harley-Davidson and King Ranch Packages, which provide ritzy leather interiors, while off-roaders can pick up an electronic transfer case, heavy-duty shocks and skid plates in the FX4 Off-Road Package. Buyers interested in towing should get the Tow Command system option, which provides an integrated controller that synchs up the brakes on the trailer with those on the truck.

The F-250 is available with two- or four-wheel drive and three different engines. The base engine is a 5.4-liter V8 that generates 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. An optional 6.8-liter V10 generates 362 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. The best choice for those who do serious towing and hauling, though, is the 6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 rated at 325 hp and 570 lb-ft, as it provides a 26,000-pound Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) when combined with the optional 4.30 rear axle. A six-speed manual transmission is standard with all of these engines and a five-speed automatic is optional. Properly equipped, an F-250 can tow up to 12,500 pounds.

Inside, the Ford F-250 pickup truck is beginning to show its age. It's plenty roomy up front, but the seats aren't very comfortable even with the King Ranch treatment and there isn't enough storage space. Crew cabs offer ample room for two or three passengers in back, and when you fold the rear seats up to make way for cargo, a utility tray flips out from underneath to keep the load floor flat.

The F-250 Super Duty is actually quite civil on the highway, as it soaks up heavy ruts and bumps with ease while providing a quiet ride. Although the truck feels big from behind the wheel and has a large turning radius, handling is generally surefooted and the brakes perform well during panic stops. Acceleration is smooth and linear with the Power Stroke diesel V8, while the five-speed automatic transmission upshifts cleanly and holds gears when necessary, such as when there's a trailer hitched to the back.
