1966 Ford Mustang fastback Description

Hi, well with major regret I am offering my 1966 Mustang fastback for sale at this time, The car was from Illinois so it really does not have much rust on her at all.In fact there is zero rust on the body and the only rust that appears on the body is a very small amount where on the RS floor board where the toe board meets the floor pan. AND while there are a couple other pin holes in the floor boards, I would not replace the floors at this time. I just feel they are still too good, too strong to need replacement.

I haven't had the car that long (like 6 months) and I have this car because I traded another mustang fastback for this one.

The guy I got this car from said the car ran and he had it for about a decade.

When I got the car, I first tried to get her running and driving again safely. What I found was the engine had dry seized. I shipped the car to my mechanic friends to see what he could do with the mechanicals to free up the seized engine or do whatever else would become necessary.Well the engine, he said would not free up so what is in the car now is a 1967 289 from Falcon Sport which had been rebuilt some time in its recent past and the engine has less than 10k miles on her.

I was planning on going with the full GT350 model look because the prior owners had installed the plexi-glass C pillar windows and they (I think) look so cool and frankly are appreciable in that they eliminate a major blind spot while driving.I also purchased the fiberglass hood scoop and the quarter panel side or rear brake ventilation scoops.

I also (and I hope I find I took a picture of them) purchased American Racing brand Torque Thrust D's wheels and BFG RWL 205 70r 14 inch tires.

That's 4 new wheels and tires (just making contact with the road now (IE I don't believe they have 1 mile on them yet).

Underneath the car the exhaust is good, the brakes need to be blead again and they should be good to go.

I started this add stating Id regret selling her, well I have had my body guy look at this car already and his comments were for between $3000 and $4000 hed be able to prep the car and paint (in 2 stage paint) the car over and in Black with Gold Stripes like the coveted Hertz Renta-racers were back in 1966.

Im not sure what else there is to say but she is real solid andI am sure I have priced the car very fairly as well.

My thoughts are for 25k you can have this car finished and running and driving, and once youhave painted the car you will have a car that compares in value in the ranges up to $50k and with the real deal cars of $100,000 plus.

IF you would like to talk, let me know and I will give you my telephone number. IF you want to do a BIN, I can add one!!

clear transferrable title in my name.

Thank you.
