1962 Ford Galaxie Description
1962 Ford Sunliner - this car was in the Ford Museum in Big Fork Montana for 20+ years
I am (I think) the 3rd owner. The car is an original survivor - has some modifactions
discussed below.
The car has not been restored - has had a repaint probably 20 years ago - has 91,000 miles
which probably is the actual mileage - nice top and interior, chrome, trim, glass etc.
The undercarriage has been power washed and coated. No rust in body, trunk or floors.
The suspension has new front coil springs, shocks and heavy duty "Quickor" front and rear
sway bars. Drum brakes have been completely rebuilt i.e. linings, wheel cylinders, springs, clips
etc - has an upgrade dual master cylinder with power booster.
Engine (390 cu in) runs smooth and quietly - has electronic distributor, new oil pump, new intake manifold
gasket and rear main seal. Also rebuilt generator, volt regulator and water pump.
Engine holds 150-160 lbs compression in 7 cylinders and 130 in the remaining one.
Transmission is a three speed cruiseomatic. Has power steering. All electrics work i.e. lights, gauges,
clock, horn even the front window washers - power top works nicely - AM radio works as does heater. The power steering control valve and related cylinder has been rebuilt.I would like for you to inspect the car or have someone do it for you prior to bidding or purchasing. Please fee free ask questionsContact Donn @show contact info
