1993 Ford Escort Wagon 39MPG 1.9L5-Speed Manual
For sale is this beautiful 1993 Ford Escort LX Wagon, equipped with a 1.9L 4 cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. This is the cleanest 1993 Escort wagon you will ever see. I am the 2nd owner of this car. It was originally purchased from salesperson Tony Malerba at Faulkner Ford and Mercury in Quakertown, PA in 1993. The original purchase price was $10,899 with an MSRP of $12,499.It has been garage kept its entire life with just 67,998 original miles. It wears the original Strawberry Metallic Red paint with onlyminor flaws/dings as seen in photos. The interior is also original and in nearly perfect condition. The pictures do not dothis vehiclejustice. This car is 99% stock, with only regular maintenance and related upgrades performed. I have owned it for about5 years.
Since I have owned it, a few upgrades along with the regular maintenance have been performed. Although it can be tagged historic to avoid emissions and inspections in Maryland, this car is currently insured and tagged with regular plates, and passed emissions and inspection with no problem. Emissions testing was just performed in January of this year. I have taken this car on a 780 mile long trip from Maryland to Georgia twice with no problem.
According to the Carfax/vehicle history report the car is in better than normal condition, which you can see for yourself. Other than being a 2-owner vehicle, it has never been in any kind of accident and has a clean Maryland title. I will also provide a Bill of Sale with the vehicle. I have all the original owner manuals, dealer information, even the original window sticker and 18 page dealer brochure!
Whether you are looking for this specific vehicle, need a reliable commuter car, a safe car for your family, a great first car, I am sure you will be impressed. Bring your own license plates anddrive ithome today!
It has asmooth and quiet ride, and steers straight and true. The original spare tire and jack are included and appear to never have been used.

Issues
Paint/body: Minor dents/dings, minor clear coat peeling on front drivers side bumper and grille, Rear bumper has crack on top.
Passenger front window difficult to roll up if it is rolled all the way down. This interior door handle also needs plastic retainer clip.
Check engine light appears intermittently and motor will stutter, take car out of gear and rev engine and it goes away. Does not affect drivability. Retired Master Ford Mechanic said it is a vacuum issue, likely a crackedrubber vacuum hose somewhere.
Overall this is a clean, reliable vehicle with very minor issues. Of course it is being sold as-is with no warranty offered or implied. If interested please contact me to discuss an inspection/test drive. Serious Buyers Only.
