2007 Ford Mustang Saleen Sterling Edition Description

Saleen turned 25 in 2008 and produced limited-edition Mustangs to commemorate its Silver anniversary. Twenty-five Sterling Edition S302E Saleen Mustangs were built, plus one special "DR" (Drag version) taking the 26th spot. Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords has a nice article detailing the JDM Engineering transformation of the Saleen Sterling Extreme. While the Saleen model is 2008 (properly tag etc) a 2007 was used to create this beast. A JDM 298ci stroker was installed . Forged steel crank, Manley rodes and pistons. JDM/M2 Race Systems CNC-ported Three Valve cylinder heads. JDM-spec Comp Cams & Manley valves. I have a street pulley and a race pulley which JDM reported 708 whp / 697 Tq on their DynoJET. This was the only Saleen Sterling Edition built with a 5R55S auto with a Precision 2500 stall converter tuned by JDM for the appilication. Aluminum driveshaft 8.8 rearend with 4:30 gears - Six-point rollbar and harness - BMR K member cradl, sway ba, etc handles the suspension Bogart wheel, S7 Carbon seats ( stock seats go with the car asdo the wheels and PZeros)
