1977 Ford Mustang Cobra II Description

1977 Ford Mustang Cobra II

condition: excellent

cylinders: 8 cylinders

drive: rwd

fuel: gas

paint color: black

title status: clean

transmission: manual

type: coupe

Up for consideration is my 1977 Mustang Cobra Resto-Mod.

The build was completed in April 2016 and the car has 4600 mile on a frame on restoration.

mileage will increase as I continue to drive it to car shows and cruises

The car has won every car show it has been entered in and show's well, but it will also run with the new Mustang's.

The paint was done at Midtown Body & Glass and the interior was also completely redone with new carpet, headliner, dash and gray cloth seats. A complete set of Auto Meter Phantom Custom gauges allow the drive to monitor all vehicle systems. A brand New Sony AM/FM Head Unit with built in XM, Pandora, Blue-Tooth, Sync head unit finishes the interior off.

Engine is a New DSS 306 create motor with Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Aluminum Heads with 1.7 Roller Rockers and tripple springs. The cam is a Trick Flow stage II cam which as you can hear in the video sound aggressive and works well on the street. The engine has been converted to Fuel Injection and has a BBK 70 mm throttle body, 76 mm BBK MAF, 70 UPR Spacer. Now has a GT40 Intake that has been ported and polished and port matched to the heads. Has a set of Long Tube Headers that go into a custom Y that goes into a single 3" out with a FlowMaster 40 Series Muffler to a black dual exhaust tip. The ignition system is a stock Ford distributor with MSD wires, coil, and MSD Digital 6AL. The radiator is an aluminum direct replacement. The battery has been moved to the rear of the vehicle and sits in a new Taylor aluminum battery box.

Transmission is a New World Class T5 with a Spec II clutch and pressure plate. Has a New Aluminum drive shaft with loop. The rear end is the stock 8" with a FMS Posi with 3:73 gears.

The suspension had been gone through. The rear leaf spring bushing where replaced, and new Gabriel shocks were mounted front and back and the car was re-aligned. The car also has full sub-frame connectors. The brakes have also been completely redone. The rear brake got new drums, complete spring and adjuster kit with new shoes and new brake lines. The front brakes got new rotor's and calipers and pad's and the master cylinder was also replaced.

A new set of 16x8 Cobra R Chrome Wheels with new 225/50/16 Hankook tires on the front and 255/50/16 MT Drag Radial S/S.

As you can see the car is beautiful and get's noticed everywhere it goes. No disappointments. I've driven the car to several out of town car show's, round trip about 200 miles on each and car had absolutely no issues.
