2000 Ford Explorer Limited Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the nearly 80 photos and read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Ford Explorer Limited 4x4. The Ford Explorer is based off of the rugged and reliable Ranger pick-up truck so you know these are tough, tough SUV's. The Limited trim package is the highest level available in the Explorer. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer Limited to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in dark blue over tan leather interior, which is a good color combination. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this Explorer, the worst I can say about the exterior is that the finish on the roof is showing some normal fading. As you walk around the truck, you'll see that the finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. All of the trim and cladding are present and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The alloy wheels are specific to the Limited package and show well. Tire tread is average all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Explorer looks. Pride in ownership shows throughout this well optioned SUV. I would also rate the interior of this Explorer Limited to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. A full set of factory floor mats are included. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is the original Mach Audio Premium Sound and sounds great. The display on the radio comes and goes, which is common as these trucks age. There climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. You'll want a new fan speed controller at some point. Currently, the fan only works on high. There are steering wheel audio and climate control controls, too. The leather seats are soft, supple and comfortable. The cargo area is spacious and uncommonly clean for the miles. In fact, the whole truck is uncommonly clean for it's age and mileage. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this Explorer Limited. The original owner's books as well as two master keys and two remotes are included. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Explorer came in. To be honest, I didn't even wash it or vacuum it out before I took these photos. I drove it about 40 miles from where I bought it and pulled it right in and took the photos you see here. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The worst I can say about this Explorer mechanically is that it sounds like one of the front wheel bearings is noisy and should be replaced. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. She hits the road as straight as an arrow. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints aside from the aforementioned noise in the front end. One of the heat shields to the exhaust makes a little noise occasionally...no biggie. She has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of August, 2017. If you're looking for a clean Explorer and don't want one that has been all used up and neglected, this uncommonly clean 2000 Ford Explorer Limited deserves your careful consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
